    This side of the street gets the sun until around tea time, so that's probably right as it was surprisingly warm in the sun today. It's covered over a lot more now

    Yep the grass is fairly white but a lot of pavement is still just looking wet. This pic is literally my view right now

    I look like a right creep spying out my window ? if I tilt my head slightly left I can see the lamppost for perfect snow viewing. If I'm feeling extra energetic and sit up I can see the pavement, which is still quite wet rather than white. Cars etc are all covered

    Just got back from collecting the boy from scouts and it's nowhere near as cold as I thought it would be by now

    Temp down to 2.3 in Jarrow, dewpoint -2.4. That's from a high of 7.5 and its definitely feeling a lot colder now. Think this is the only time this winter I've felt anything close to confidence for us to get snow

    Icy here in Jarrow too but no blue sky, it's quite foggy and miserable. The cold is a shock to the system after all this rubbish mild weather we've had

    What do we think then, do we actually have a chance of snow this time? I'm a bit gutted tbh, 3 lines of washing out today, not sure I want a return to cold!

    I'm sorry but it neither lays or lies, it lands! temp down to 1.3 now and dp is 1.2, my decking is like an ice rink, my 2 labs both just went a$$ over t1t when I let them out

    I can see the clouds from here, very slow moving but looks like it's heading this way, can't really tell it's so slow.I'm currently defrosting the big freezer, feels a bit wrong as it's the best kind of snow ive seen in there lol

    Temp of 3.4c and raining here, was close to minus 2 this morning at 8 am and it fees a lot warmer now

    I was actually considering a66 then m6 purely because there are restrictions and a lot of roadworks on the m62 and figured id be on the m62 for rush hour and thought it might take me forever. Put off a66 for the reasons you said, worried about any adverse weather effects. Ah decisions decisions!

    Bit of road advice please, if there is a better place to put this please point me in the right direction. I'm meant to be taking the kids to Liverpool for the weekend on friday, hoping to leave by 1.30 PM to try and miss most of the rush hour, what weather is expected between here and there, are any of the roads expected to be bad? Not sure which route to take or if anywhere along the way has had a lot of snow that might hinder me. Thanks

    Covering of snow in jarrow, drove through hebburn to bill Quay to pick the bairn up from scouts and there's nothing in either place

    Hubby says it absolutely belted down with proper snow about 5 am, really big flakes but none of it 'landed' as my kids say

    Black and white, to the annoyance of my mam and brother and delight of my dad lol. Feel sorry for my 5 kiddies though as they are all being brought up to support the toon so will probably never know glory

    I'm in bed with leccy blanket on watching motd, if it actually turns to snow for anyone ill get up and have a look here otherwise I'm not moving!

    In my house the hubby is the one always right, even when he's wrong!! I wish I knew, it's getting boring waiting now. if I can't have snow then roll on summer!

    Is jarrow classed as being right on the coast? Never know if we are classed as coastal or not
