    You're right Nick, I've had female flu this week so haven't been anywhere, think we may head somewhere with the sledges tomorrow though.

    If I can fly down a hill on a sledge with the kids ill be happy, seems everyone I know around the country has had snow so far this winter and we've had next to nowt. Disgrace!!

    Oh, and temp was 2.3c around an hour ago so dropped very quickly Got off my bum and had a proper look, where had thawed has been covered in proper snow again!

    Chucking it down now, looks to be very wet snow, the flakes are quite large though. temp 0.8c and dp 0.5c

    Super wet slushy stuff, Its gave a little bit more of a covering, but you know when you get a slush drink and suck all the flavouring out and your left with an icey thing in the cup? thats whats on the ground now lol

    Im getting a sore neck from looking out the window every 5 minutes to see what is falling out of the sky so Im going to bed and hoping for a white world in the morning! if its not can you guys just throw a few shovelfuls outside my house please ;P

    Dp -2.6c currently, with a temp of 2.c. There has def been a thaw, but still a lot of snow cover. I am keeping everything crossed that we get snow, had a brilliant day sledging with the kids, wouldnt mind doing it again tomorrow.

    I think once the snow is south of around 'boro the news just makes a big thing of it - stay off the roads/panic buy/death to all type thing! Soft buggers. It's always the same though isnt it

    2.3c currently here, what looks like super wet snow falling, its going almost sideways but doesnt seem that windy

    Cant believe how much melt there has been overnight, (in some places anyway) on top of the wall in the back garden is about a 1/4 of what it was when i went to bed, although front wall is just the same as last night there abouts. Current temp 1.4c, dp 1.3c

    Hubby just took my mam home (before we got stuck with her ) and he says the roads between Jarrow and South Shields are horrendous, the snow plough even was locking up and skidding all over the place

    They have started closing roads and withdrawing bus services here now because of the lying snow. I am super impressed with what we have got so far, weve spent the night making snowmen and snowball fighting and tomorrow shall be spent sledging And yes, I am going 31 going on 8 haha

    Because the paths are still so snowy here I *had* to go buy a different buggy for the baby, hubby slightly unimpressed, so i am seriously hoping we get another covering to make it seem more like we needed it.....haha!

    Im getting 0.5c with dew point at -1.6c, and its totally dry here now, and I am getting a twitch in my neck from looking out the window so much ;D

    Roads are horrendous, and the pavements are like skating rinks. Its just rain falling here but temp still a little below 0 so its creating nasty slippy surfaces.

    tsk, i so hoped we would get a bit snow, it was much better than nothing but even a couple of cms wouldve made me happy. Nevermind, as you say still the hope of something to come before winter is gone for this year
