Intensity is increasing further west.. I wonder how long this can keep going for given the winds for all of today become more and more favourable for thames areas

Streamer looks okay.. Would want more oomph to it but looks like South London okay for yet another day of falling snow.. We are nearing here over 48 hours of falling snow in 3 days incredible really.. With my DP around -4 to -5 the whole time I think that has been half the problem.. The snow that has fallen last night is gone.. Not melted.. its about 50 miles up the road its so dry!

Nice to see some areas further west although very light seeing a, few flakes now it's dark everything should settle better..

In a way bigger masses of PPN like that are better as they should hold together better and more people get in the game...

We were just saying getting on for over 24hrs of falling snow with a meer 1cm on gras now lol! Having said that.. Stuff coming off North Sea looks good still and its still snowing buy DP now - 3 temp - 1 settling in all surfaces

If that mass of stuff coming over Ipswich way makes it down into London I may see another full day of falling snow.. Although light and not amounted to much I've never known 2 days of seeing falling snow like this.. Still really fluffy flakes here

Well I've never witnessed a home grown snow blob! That's pretty cool!

That band in west london is about 1 mile to my north.. the last one that fizzled out just came through and the flakes really do increase in size... its wicked to watch!

Certainly an up tick in PPN intensity around the Thames but could be nothing

This light snow would normally be drizzle in spring time if we had an easterly now could you imagine how grim a day it would be..

Been snowing here in Windlesham all morning albeit light.. Have good dusting now and covering.. Looking good for some streamers later

While it wont look like that next run its not out of the realms of impossible in some places out east.. will be sheer pot luck where showers train better than over other areas... it will depend on the depth of convection and if we can get showers going like further north.. thats true north sea convection there

EURO4 kinda picking out the shower activity... The AROME is... Very nice charts for the region... The actual met warnings now suggest quite widely 1-3cm with anyone caught under a streamer or streams of showers 5-10cm these are daily accumulations as well.. so by Wednesday some people in the East might be over 30cm!! Is it being over active with the shower activity? I don't think so given the setup from today .. -10 uppers and even some -12 uppers approaching stiff NE - E wind which becomes even more favourable through today The flow looks to become less favourable for showers from Wednesday morning as it veers round more northly.. So a solid 2 days of showers.. streamers and surprises.. ARPEGE SMELLING THE COFFEE

Morning guys light snow falling here again.. Incredible really we were on the edge of the main stuff yesterday and light snow all day although didn't settle a soild 10 hours of light snow.. Then that little band came through last night and gave us a bit of a dusting.. now light snow again... Everything now frozen solid and my DP is a cracking -4! Hard to pin point any details today... Everyone is at risk of catching a shower or 2 and streamers etc..

Western edge I'm going for us somewhere around 5-10miles east of Reading.. In an arc so up through Marlow Bedford Peterborough into the wash... Want to see how close I get so post saved!!

Looking good.. Pushing west still.. If the northern edge wasn't and sliding south I would be really worried.. Also look over London the "streaks" of heavier PPN.. Keep the faith
