well I'm sat there eating my dinner, feeling a little down after the GFS 12z and I check my phone for the ECM expecting more of the same and..... HOLY HORSES**T BATMAN! Where on Gods earth is Andy? Is he collapsed by his computer? Best run I've EVER seen!

yes, exactly! There have been a few dodgy runs, and there will be more to come but I personally don't see anything other than an andy special for a long time. If G.P's thoughts are anything to go by, and they normally are, this could just be the starters ready for January!( Although, I hope not, as I have 5 A level exams, bit of a toss up :/) Still...

Wow, surprised there's no comment on the 18z? Snow, snow and more snow, with some great Scandi High... Appears that we could see a Greenie on the run up to Christmas?

Well well well... Cracking GFS, Scandi all the way and we are locked in the freezer! Last 2 frames of the run terrible though :L (Some hope for you mild dross lovers out there!) Have an inkling the ECM will be an absolute stormer, better than the GFS, as seems to be the case recently with the 12z!

AHAHAHA! Knew you'd have some balanced and sobered post to make to put a dampers on things >.< Hope all is well, or getting there! GFS 18z massive downgrade on the 12z BUT, I generally tend to focus on 00z and 12z runs and disregard the other 2 GFS runs, especially when they divert from the trend such as this. As Keith says, await the FAX charts and the ECM 32 update from SnowKing at around 11pm! Until then, we party! I was referring more to your use of the date 2110 >.< But yes, that could be a possibility, one that we are all praying for no doubt.

How do we repeat 2110 then? :L

Yes I noticed that aswell, got me a little more upbeat. Haha, Andy is always one to take ramping to the next level, but there certainly is a cause with the sort of charts being thrown our way (bar a few god awful runs inbetween). I would have to say Heroes and Villains, those costumes and that area made it extra funny >.< That is a good programme, but like Keeping Up Appearances, a little before my time and not popular enough to be constantly re-run á la Fools haha.

Haha, now that was good tv! (Only Fools and Horses) Is there the possibility of undercutting lows from the west delivering mountains of the white stuff, or even, dare I say, blizzard like scenarios?

Damn, best ECM run I've seen in well over a year! Looks like so possibly crazy weather conditions to come out way. One thing though... As it goes to a Scandi- High and we look east, although it would be telephone boxing freezing, would we not be at a disadvantage in terms of snow, as the East has the North sea to feed off of? In my short life I can't think of a situation where I've seen a good snow total if it was not from a Northerly... :S

I am rather confused, who was correct regarding this weekend, the ECM or UKMO? Great ECM charts, but, as mentioned, a LONG way to go, could end up just like now, a freezing cold snowfest to a nippy extended weekend... Wow at 240, Scandi High and bloody freezing... Compare this run to the 00z and it looks like a parallel universe.

Wow, did you seriously just write that? 2010 was the best winter of my relatively short life! Less snow than 2011 (still had atleast 8 inches though) but it lingered for agess.

Wow for the GEM! As has been said, great snow potential here. Starts on the Saturday night and is still snowing midday Monday! (End of the run). Has to be said that it is currently 2nd in the verification stats and was showing a similar scenario a couple of days ago. The great thing is it doesn't really lose the cold uppers, just a little more marginal over us. The GFS is ok up until around 170... Then it gives us the atlantic.. Too far out to tell though.

I suppose they did actually.. Was a pleasant surprise to wake up to snow, albeit rather wet and light... Thanks haha Christ welshwizard, where do you live? o.O Looks like you got some pretty good stuff!!!

hahaa, that devilish face has me wondering if you are serious or just being sarcastic! If the models upgrade and the front looks like stalling, please be sure to whip out the good ol' NAE snow charts that have 1% chance of verifying at any given time, yet do send me hyperventilating! XD

Wow! You live literally just down the road from me then. I live in Rhydyfelin... Pretty sure this is going to be a great cold/snowy period!
