Hey All, Hope you've all had a good summer. It's that time of year again when I retreat from the garden and start lurking on here . Love this thread! It keeps me going all autumn and winter! Beautiful day here today got up to 15.4oC although the cloud did bubble up a bit this afternoon but it was quite toasty in the sunshine. Anyway here's hoping that everyone's winter dreams come true this year.

How on earth do you get a reading of 25% RH inside, is it in a tumble drier or something? Thanks Mapanz, Yes I can, I was going to get a collection of readings and take an average to reset it.

Can anyone give me their humidity readings my station is saying 23% which seems quite low. The other readings seem ok hope it's not breaking again. Been a lovely day here, quite warm in the sun, very spring like.

Had a light snow shower in Stroud too. Strange as it was really dry stuff not the wet snow I was expecting if we got any at all.

First snow of 2016! Didn't settle but nice to see. Temp dropped from 6oC to 2.5oC during shower.

Me too!!! Large glass of red, fire lit and the prospect of maybe, just maybe some snow happy days I'm not working tomorrow so need to make my mind up if I'm going to stay up a bit later tonight. Will see how the radar pans out.

Dear Me it is awful in the MOD thread. We are seeing unprecedented global weather patterns and set ups at the moment namely Alex for one and for people to expect the models to get it spot on is frankly stupid. I wish people would understand that the models are there to help our understanding of what might happen not the be all and end all. Right sorry rant over but they do make me cross having to scroll through all the dross to get to the few posts that are really good, informative and realistic. Hope we manage to get to see something come out of Wales tonight/tomorrow AM but am slightly cautious as these types of set up normally fizzle out before they get over the Severn. I'm hoping they have the energy to make it to us all so fingers and toes crossed! Currently 3.2 and going down rapidly and a dew point of -3.0
