Outlook for Monday to Wednesday: Cold, with sunshine and wintry showers, mainly affecting windward coasts. Overnight frosts, with freezing-fog and icy patches. Band of rain, sleet and perhaps snow, moves eastwards Tuesday and into Wednesday. Hmmm Hoping this is just a general write up! because even they are struggling to firm up on the details for next week! I do expect some warnings to be issued this weekend for Tuesday onwards! fingers crossed.

The beeb always play it down, look north said "wintry showers" next week! But come Sunday there will be amber warning in place for our region lol Well I hope there will be

It is starting to cloud over from the west quite quickly rather dark looking! something will fall from it!!! it does look like "Snow" lol

It does look good for us in Yorkshire I am not surprised alot of people get confused in the "MOD" thread" so many different posts saying this will happen then others say this wont happen etc etc but alot don't back it up with charts and then when they say it isn't going to happen you find out it's for there area in the SOUTH! but us here in the north it's still game on and lots of exciting times ahead

It certainly is looking great for those in the North and myself particular here in South Yorkshire! last year was a poor winter for 90% of us but it does look like winter is bringing us a nice surprise

They are going for heavy in Barnsley as well from 6pm and then light snow at 9pm so hopefully we get a few hours of heavy stuff exciting times ahead

My geography is not good either lol but it is looking good for alot of yorkshire especially us in south yorks

Good Morning All It certainly is looking good for alot of our region next week regarding snow fall

The 12z does have some nice eye candy and as you say around the 19th onwards which is around the same time as last year we had a cold snap/spell here is hoping for 1 last chance

I said same yesterday GFS wasn't having any of it but the METO are still confident but who knows what surprises will creep up in the next few hours

UKMO is certainly looking good for some areas on Friday there is a yellow warning out for all of yorkshire from MO on there website! but GFS isnt showing snow for friday at all so who knows what will happen

For Myself who is stil learning these charts and newbies can you explain this instead of saying YIKES as it dosent help? Thanks

Currently, around sixty percent of the solutions from the European (ECMWF) model suggest that cold air from the east will win the battle against the milder Atlantic air that has been with us for virtually the whole of winter so far. For other models the percentage of cold solutions is around fifty percent.
