  1. I can second this. 2011 was ridiculously frustrating at times, everything was either five miles away, or fizzled out just as it got here. The most frustrating moment weather-wise last year must have been related to a cell in late April, that continually back-built until it just stopped at my doorstep.
  2. Will the cell near Huddersfield/Barnsley reach me, or will it disappear five miles to the east like they usually do?
  3. Wow, things are actually looking promising right now! Some hail now, although it looks more like snow strangely. A shower that's coming my way has recently had a lightning strike associated with it, so we will see.
  4. The Peak District is again doing an amazing job of ruining everything here yet again. I just want to hear thunder again.
  5. The showers are seemingly surviving the Pennines, so I may do well today.
  6. Would you say that more north eastern areas may get more of a chance as well? I have to say I'm pleased that there'll be a change in wind direction, since every single shower today has been eaten by the Pennines.
  7. Le sigh, a disappointing day today. Nothing can get past the Pennines. If the showers are coming from the same direction tomorrow and Thursday I won't even get any rain.
  8. Today will deliver nothing now here, the Pennines ruin things once again. Still, two days of potential left.
  9. The Peak District, a picturesque landscape of natural beauty, and also the murderer of storms and showers.
  10. I'm scared that, yet again, today will be a day of the Peak District ruining things by weakening storms into drizzle.
  11. A day with alternating cloudy and sunny spells. Despite only reaching 8.7C, it was still pleasant in the sunshine, although quite cool out of it. Our snow cover had all but disappeared by this morning. Now, it is clear and 0.3C; I'm confident of recording an air frost.
  12. 0.6C here right now, so I'm confident of recording an air frost.
  13. Heavy snow here at 1.4C, with around 8cm on some surfaces. This is why I love Spring!
  14. Like others in parts of Derbyshire, I have quite a bit of snow. 5-8cm easily here.
  15. It's actually sunny here. The fog has finally cleared before mid-day, and the temperature is 11.2 °C.
  16. The temperature is 7.7 °C with thick fog, hopefully it will burn away later.
  17. It's still raining here. I'm going to attempt to remain patient and hope it will soon turn to snow.
