I think the reason why we aren' seeing the shower activity is because Emma is a lot further east that expected. I wonder if the met office needs to revise the red warning

East of Newcastle having some heavy showers moving through

It says that anywhere the showers do fall further accumulations could occur and I guess with what's already fallen even a few more cms is potentially severe. Maybe that's why.

Not much shower activity for me either in Prudhoe Northumberland. But then again we must remember the amber warning hasn't even started yet

Everyone will see something before Thursday. Yes it looks like Durham north will do better than some areas south but that could and probably will change. It wouldn't take much for a subtle change in wind direction and you in Stockton and Teesside to be the better placed. Just try to relax. Even if you don't see much this period is amazing for us and the time of year
