    Starting to get noticeably more windy here in Newcastle. Can hear a roar when a gust comes along. I'd say maybe mid 40s?

    About 10 mile outside Newcastle near blizzard conditions for the past 2 hours. Powdery at times but expecting some drifts if this carries on till morning! Turned out to be a very good event

    It's barely moving. Its soooo frustrating. I do think areas like Whickham and those directly East will be hit in the next few hours.

    If the mad thread/onlytalkifyourfromsouth is to be believed even newcastle miss out thurs/fri. Metoffice could be seriously embarrassed, or maybe they know more than we do

    Hmm it's probably just cloud with no precipitation in it sadly! Unless it's too far out for radar to pick up? I dunno!! Hopefully full of snow haha

    Maybe a few light flurries later. Potentially more interest from Tuesday onwards. I have a driving test on Tuesday so hopefully not too bad on Tues!!

    The models are clearly struggling with precipitation. I think next week could be surprising for many not just the few. Fingers crossed!

    Just goes to show surprises can pop up at short range. Mind you it's not the kind of sleet that you could see turning to snow.

    Long time lurker here, I have been seduced back in to this forum. Best potential for a prolonged cold and snowy spell since 2010 imo. Very hard not to get carried away and then leading to potential heartbreak, but atleast if that happens were amongst friends!
