Umm i think 85mph is dangerous whether its a built up area or not. Still could cause branches falling or even trees which could danger life. Yes i agree its more unusual for london - but i still think it merits an amber in the boarders and maybe the NE.
Thank you. Just seen the latest bbc forecast and it put particular emphasis on the boarders of scotland getting 85 mph winds. They arent even amber. Its baffling
Looking at that clump of storms im not sure if id be overly excited tonight. Unless they gain intensity over the channel, doesnt look anything out of the ordinary
Umm the precip is going into france? And there is no pivot? This could be a massive bust for the people in the amber zone? Meanwhile in the NE we have our first few flakes!
Personally I think these are the building blocks slowly coming into place, for the ultimate UK freeze we want the 'perfect synoptics late dec/jan ideally. The fact that they're showing now can only be encouraging
Ah, I feel bad now! I kinda assumed you were trolling so I apologise if i seemed harsh - I was you a year ago and i still am but I've done a lot of research since and i am a weather geek haha. This is such a lovely forum and i wish you well on here
Can i just remind you all just over a week ago we were staring down the barrel of wind and rain and indeed flooding, complete zonal trash, so even if the ecm is right, I for one will be greatful for the seasonal feel!
Cant see much happening for the north east away from the immediate coast line.. yet only last night storms were forecast over the pennies exclusively. Just goes to show with these storms its radar watching all the way
The showers are supposed to be at their heaviest in the early hours if i have understood correctly. Looks like a streamer setting up over newcastle area?
