    I live in Seaview too and it's been progressively getting worse from about 9. I think we will start to really notice it in the next hour or so. Hasn't peaked yet here.Also I think the rains pretty heavy judging by the sound its making on my windows lol

    Yes wind is building here for sure. Worst of it like you say probably between 1-3 here. Expecting winds of 70mph - apparently could be higher but I'm on the East side of the island so maybe not. Do you think the squall line is too far north to reach us?

    It's a bit windy on the South Coast but no where near where I expected it to be. Maybe the met office were right on this one

    There was a sudden gust here, seemingly out of nowhere. Shook the windows, it's starting to go downhill rapidly here.

    Bbc weather forecast at 130 was weird. Didn't make much of the Storm at all. I have to say I haven't been impressed with their forecasts so far this year.

    I wouldn't bet against an amber warning Mickey. Maybe more especially places on the Coast but maybe even places more inland. Maybe more likely for an Amber is Northern Ireland based on latest outputs.

    Wasn't having a go mate, just I reckon all the background signals are pointing to something quite severe here I don't think we should underestimate it until we see a significant downgrade. Sure run by run it will change, but we should wait till nearer the time before we judge it as 'just another winter storm'

    I can't believe people are writing this off already! Even the professionals arent confident yet, they're barely prepared to give anything anyway on most broadcasts I've seen. I'm expecting this Storm to be pretty severe, especially imby but even inland.

    Are those over night wind speeds? What about Saturday through the say, got friends coming from portsmouth to Isle of Wight on the ferry, will they be affected?
