    Oooh, down 0.2c in the last 20 minutes, now 2.9c. Keep going.....

    Temperature has dropped to 3.1c, hopefully we should see some wet snow out of this. Might be our only chance this winter.

    In the north Kent downs we have 32.8c with RH 50%. According to my netatmo it feels like 41c and I don't disbelieve it.

    Well our air temperature has dropped to -0.1c, so the ice will start to form. Coud be messy

    We have a covering of snow, probably about 1cm. It is 7.30pm and still very light, and we ave snow. 0.0c so not going to melt. Tomorrow morning could be very icy

    Settling on grass and cars now. 0.1c. This is most bizarre for April.

    0.5c and quite a heavy snow flurry here. It is setting off my CCTV recorders as it is quite intense and big flakes. I suppose it fits into the criteria of "occasional wintry shower" as predicted by the met.

    The sun earlier seemed to trigger some thicker clouds. Temp got up to 3.3c earlier, now down at 2.5c with light snow flurries

    Bizarre how it is getting colder. Woke up this morning, -1.1c, now down to -1.4c with very fine snow

    Snowing here, 1.6c. It must be snow as it settled on the dog, and she is black, so it was quite visible.

    Weather has turned very strange. Was dry and grey, then turned very dark about an hour ago. Had a very heavy hail/rain shower and temperature has dropped to 3.3c. Now very misty - with the sun poking through and looks like it would after a humid summer downpour, but it's bloody cold.

    -3.8c - still snowing, we have about 6 inches here and it's blowing a gale outside. This is much worse than predicted....

    Reading on twitter about gridlock in Sevenoaks - people having to spend the night in Tesco and Harvester, 7 hour trips from Sevenoaks to Tonbridge etc. Seems like the streamer that set up over this area dumped a load and caused lots of trouble

    It's snowing like crazy here still -3.6c. Have a book at the BBC Travelcam for M23 Jct 11 - lots of cars stuck with lights off. How miserable. I hope everyone is ok....I think this will make the news tomorrow.

    -3.5c here. Just got driven back from Orpington station in a Land Rover. In places visibility was down to 20m or less. Strong gusts, heavy snow and drifting across the roads. Got about 3-4 inches here and still coming down. Stay off the roads around here.....

    On a train leaving charing cross, they are announcing that there are no taxis or buses at sevenoaks or tonbridge due to the snow. My app tells me that it is -3.4c at home and my wife tells me heavy snow falling. Anyone near orpington with a report?

    Thick, heavy, blowing snow. -1.4c. Heaviest of the winter so far.

    Finally dipped below freezing -0.1c, the constant graupel and light flakes that have been going most of the day have completely stopped.
