Fed up with the Storm Isha thread as it’s getting a bit daft. So a question to the knowledgeable ones here. Given that we got burnt so badly with Storm Arwen in 2021, albeit at in November, do you think Amber warning is valid? I do, myself. The bypass routes over the Dee bridges by Chirk have been closed because of the wind earlier and apparently we haven’t reached peak gust.

Log buckets full, casserole cooked, butane stove to ready, candles and torches ready, Wood burner on, windows rattling, breeze through floorboards very fresh, can hear the wind roaring and see some wildly bendy trees. Lights have had a flickerette….

I’m not good on charts, but looking at METO for my area (NE Wales near Llangollen), it seems to me that it comes in a tad earlier and moves more swiftly through?
