  1. Fed up with the Storm Isha thread as it’s getting a bit daft. So a question to the knowledgeable ones here. Given that we got burnt so badly with Storm Arwen in 2021, albeit at in November, do you think Amber warning is valid? I do, myself. The bypass routes over the Dee bridges by Chirk have been closed because of the wind earlier and apparently we haven’t reached peak gust.
  2. Log buckets full, casserole cooked, butane stove to ready, candles and torches ready, Wood burner on, windows rattling, breeze through floorboards very fresh, can hear the wind roaring and see some wildly bendy trees. Lights have had a flickerette….
  3. If you don’t open freezer then up to 48 hours of full, 24 if half full.
  4. Well me and Penny the dog were almost Dorothy and Toto on the howlingly windy walk this pm.
  5. I’m not good on charts, but looking at METO for my area (NE Wales near Llangollen), it seems to me that it comes in a tad earlier and moves more swiftly through?
  6. Snow yesterday evening, frost overnight so snowy and cold this morning, Oswestry in Shropshire surprised by snow. When I went in this morning they had more than the hills. Sun stronger now so most snow/ice melting apart from up on the tops and frost pockets. Off now to look at Storm Isha…….
  7. Clear blue sky here, with lovely sunshine, it by Jings it’s a cold crisp day out there, colder in feel than the last few days. Little if any snow left, and what is there is packed down on track surfaces and icy, so be fun on the various mutt walks today…
  8. Another very light dusting, and hard frost. Seems like the action is further inland and upstream, so Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, etc seeing the white stuff. Good, that will make them happy one hopes….
  9. Can’t say so here. Dusting of snow this morning, a few teeny fairy flakes this pm. We probs too far inland. Rather briskly brisk bracing yomp with dog by Nantyr tops this lunchtime,
  10. Light rain here, chilly though, think cold front arrives later today/overnight. Not expecting anything by way of snow, maybe sleety bits.
  11. Wut? Just been on YouTube Met and it’s the same and dated today, so could @WINTRY WALES explain please?
  12. Well 5c is quite chilly still but granted not Uber cold. As you say wait and see. On that note all gone a bit Uber bonkers meltdowns in MadMod, in spite of sensible posters…..
  13. Just ventured into daily express. Them using weather maps as well, but well cherry picked and accompanied by snowmageddon hell rhetoric….
  14. Hello Andy. So sorry to hear you’ve been ill. I do hope you are on the mend . So. I’ve to hear you cos We now have our snow totem back, welcome back!
  15. Somewhat surprised by mood in madmod thread which seems to have gone Maidstone gif centric. They need a proper cup of tea and a lie down. Couldn’t find post (cos I’d lost will to live) that @keithlucky linked to. Question then to @keithlucky, when is this flurry event due for please?
