  1. 18Z MO high-res run is rather poor, it has to be said. Heaviest snow is now pushed to Sunday night into Monday! Hopefully not a trend
  2. Bit of a downgrade, haven't seen the entire 18Z run yet, but the latest UKV pushes the heavier snow to extreme eastern parts of Essex, North Kent looks the sweet spot right now. That being said, 6-9cm would be the best estimate from 02:00 Sunday until 18:00 Monday for much of south Essex.
  3. This is for Southend Airport up until 6AM Sunday from the Met Office. Good start for what could be a 72-hour snow event
  4. A taste of whats to come for our region. Snow has started to settle the other side of the North Sea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v05epQpLtic
  5. Just posted by the Met on their site. Been a while since there has been such a snowy short range forecast
  6. FWIW, Exeter say northern extent of the precipitation today is River Orwell at 14Z, so basically Suffolk border southwards looks to see something from late morning before it dies off around dusk. London does look the sweet spot to be honest, lets hope the UKV is on the ball this time. My thoughts on today's event if anyone fancies a read at this ungodly hour: https://www.essexweather.com/weather-forecast/ It will be interesting to see if UKMO update the existing warning. This wouldn't be the usual 11Z update, more likely 05-06Z if confidence or impacts have increased. Yellow is sufficient still, certainly not amber territory. Should be a good day for the region, those who have missed out from prior events
  7. As above, perfect upgrade for London, Essex and Herts. If forecast is reality, then a lot of snow today in these areas :)
  8. Looks like a few of the showers today could be thundery with hail risk around the region.
  9. Loving these cooler nights after a week of 25-27C bedroom temps!
  10. Certainly some impressive gusts today. Highest here was 42mph just before 4PM.
  11. Frosty this morning, grass temperature been below freezing since 1AM :)
  12. Much milder this morning than this time yesterday, 5C As Tom says above, the outlook is not good if you're a coldie. I still think there is time for snow this winter, just!
  13. What a change from 24 hours ago. 4AM and 12C here in mid-Essex
  14. Nice to have some cooler nights finally, sleep much better!
  15. Nice to see some rain this evening, total of 1.8mm which was a little more than expected :)
  16. Surprised to see the 528 line on the Norfolk coast on the latest Fax chart. Some Northerly this coming weekend!
  17. Outlook is pretty decent for mid-April, up to 20C for the Easter weekend :)
  18. Was a few freak gusts around 5AM on Saturday morning, highest being 54mph.
  19. TBH, when the new text forecasts came through via DataPoint a few hours ago I was surprised by the "heavy rain" on the south coast. Even their own model doesn't have any rain along the coast tomorrow evening/night. Can anyone find one that does? I wouldn't take much notice at this stage anyway :)
