Looks as though the PPN is breaking up behind the band just going over London now (on the RainToday radar) -
Are the chances of streamers appearing this evening and over the next few days still possible as I’ve seen it suggested over the past few days? If so, are there outside chances that these could appear and bring with them surprise accumulations (5-10cm’s) out of nowhere? Apologies for all of the questions, I am just a snow maniac and want to see some good stuff Thank you to anyone in advance for answers

Snow easing off here in Hampstead after hours of light snow. IF this is a bust, doesn’t it look dry mostly for the rest of the week other than snow showers? Enjoy the snow everyone further East. Pray for everyone out West please

The front is still certainly moving west, it was nowhere near London when I looked around 3 hours ago. it is snowing in Hampstead but I want some heavier stuff Fingers crossed.

Is that band of precipitation still going to slowly move over toward London, and the event has been delayed by a couple hours, or is it a bust for the western region completely? I was still hoping for a couple centimetres at least here in Hampstead!

Sitting here thinking about it, I’m not sure why I’m so obsessed with snow. Maybe because it’s just so rare? I wonder if I lived in Iceland if I’d be as obsessed as I am. Sorry about thinking out loud, onto some stress of hoping it snows this evening!

Am I being extremely desperate clinging on to the BBC weather forecast as it shows continuous light snow for Hampstead between 3am and 9pm usually they’re not very accurate but I’ll trust in it now haha why does snow make me go so loopy ?

This doesn’t look too bad for us out toward the West from what I can see? I do hope there’ll be some more snow opportunities for us in the coming week if this one fails!(for my part of the region)

Fingers crossed. I am becoming borderline obsessed in the hope that the models are incorrect in the amount of snow for my part of the world tomorrow , no matter how unlikely that is

Is there any chance that there will be more snow than is expected for the western part of the region (London Westwards)? I think I just got rather excited with the snow accumulations on the ECM the other day and now I’m feeling rather deflated about tomorrow! I’d be extremely excited if I was in the eastern part of this region but now I’m feeling disappointed from my own point of view being a couple miles north of London this weekend!

What are prospects looking just north of London toward Hampstead as that’s where I’m going to based this weekend? UKV seems to show little to nothing, Harmonie looks much more promising. Such differences and it confuses me as to what I should expect

Hi guys - how well does the Hampstead Heath area with a Thames Streamer? Im wondering if this snowy spell on Sunday will better the one on Sunday a couple weeks ago, as a few centimetres fell, more than I had expected.

The GFS has been consistently showing snow all day for the south on Sunday. I know that it’s not great for precipitation amounts but I’ve seen contrasting views saying that showers won’t even get west enough past London. Can the GFS be that far off the mark on precipitation? Surely most of the south (bar the coasts and towards the west) should get a couple centimetres minimum if it stays as the GFS shows?

So, any chance this pivots back over London or looking likely to stay further north of London? We must have had about 5cm in Brent Cross which is more than I expected so close to London!
