The Mediterranean(Black Sea as well) has already seen a couple of extreme events this Winter, and is well above normal temps for the time of year. The Adriatic Sea(between Italy, and Balkans/Greece) is off the scale.
This could result in coral die off, and mass sea life death if it carries on to the Summer.
One of the best days up in the hills for quite a while, even though cloud started to play a part later on.
Lake district ski club had a cracking day too.
Pretty impressive for this time of year.

We booked a short break in Venice 2 weeks ago. Federico Pavan , the great Italian tornado investigator had been complaining about the same weather with fog added for weeks. I promised him sunshine.
We had 4 glorious days, it broke the day after we left and now Rome has had flood warnings, Veneto is underwater, and a major Mediterranean storm progresses.
It did us the world of good.
