  1. Showers are not coming inland at the moment. Skirting the west coast only. Carol on BBC weather this morning was fairly confident the organised belt from the north was going to get down to Central tonight. You know that the Grampians normally swallow the snow from the north. Maybe the intensity of the snow will push it further south.
  2. It's still snowing at Dalmally 153ft asl where the band is. So I suspect anywhere away from the West Coast will still be snow and not sleet.
  3. Well after much trying I cannot get my photo to upload!
  4. Well not a dance as such. I am a runner so can get the trail shoes on tonight and run across the fields. Love the fact that it's pitch black but the snow lights up the ground. Nothing better than just the sound of the snow crunching!
  5. You needn't worry I have 6cm in the garden so more than I expected after yesterday, and the toys are staying in the pram! LOL Glasgow where I work has only about 2cm which I was very surprised at after watching the snow last night. More snow tonight hopefully and maybe a wee bit today. This is definately the most snow I have had for at least three years.
  6. Glasgow is indeed getting pasted. Incredible scenes on the motorways. Just started here again still 4cm.
  7. Seems to be a gap now and then some big blobs in about a hour.Need to fit a Web Can to the lampost to save staying up!
  8. Feel for you Snowman! It was like that all day here but now the snow is not melting and we have 3cm.So its near enough the most I have had for a few years believe it or not.
  9. Well whatever else happens at least I have a 2cm covering now!
  10. Yen today was really disappointing. But just started snowing here light dusting. Might be a decent night as well by the looks of things.
  11. Well at 4.26pm I think it's safe to say. What a total let down certainly for the days forecast. Tonight might be another event altogether but this was pretty rubbish again. I feel a bit cheated as this one seemed to be nailed on!
  12. Yep pretty disappointed I have to say. Afternoons getting on and nothing lying on the ground. That definately wasn't the forecast. Not sure what it's like in Falkirk but most of the traffic cams are pretty green looking in the central belt. Looking to after 6pm now I suspect.
  13. Well Jellybaby thus far yes it has been a let down. I am worried the showers are now more scattered. Might be that the event wil be later tonight instead though.
  14. Flighton.. I am getting twitchy about this as well, but will reserve judgement. If the temperature drops late afternoon it might be good. I don't think there will be proper snow until after 5pm. Originally I thought we would all have a covering by now though!
  15. There appears to be a wee gap in the activity. I presume the proper snow will come later.
  16. Catch My journey home is M74/M73/M80/M9....what are my chances?
  17. Have to say it's pretty benine at the moment. Will await the fun and games later.
  18. Yeh people don't realise that car thermos are between 1.5c and 2c warmer than the actual temperature. Mine is 1.5c too high and it's consistant as my wifes car is exactly the same. The sensors are picking up residual heat. So when mine says 3.5c coming into Glasgow this morning I know it is actually 2c. i.e cold enough for snow. I suspect today is going to require a bit of patience. The real action will kick in after 12pm. Incidently heavy snow in Maddiston when I left at 1c and 2c and sleety snow Glasgow.
  19. This is weird. Temperature at Glencoe 1200ft 6c. But it looks like sleet or snow on cams?
  20. Meto moved their warning back from 9am Wed to 8am Wed an extended to nprthern England. With regards to the sleet I am not seeing that on Thursday on the models. Looks like pretty dry on Thursday and maybe abot 4c on Friday with a few wintry showers snow at any decent elevation.
  21. Sorry Bairn...you will live near the Forth! LOL
