  1. Interesting blob north of Crieff. Stirling,Falkirk... Bound...I know clutching at straws. I would settle for icing sugar.
  2. After midnight the snow is forecast on Monday night. We had similar warnings on.Friday Saturday and got hee haw.
  3. Yes the temperatures are warmer than last week. This was supposed to be the Greenland blast?
  4. If there is such a thing as a dry wind that's it. To be honest it didnt even feel that cold. Looking at radar there is scattered showers in the north and nothing else. Not that cold and not that exciting at the moment. So much for the beast from the north!
  5. you could be right we are in the mild transition. The charts suggest cold air back about 3am!
  6. Chucking it down with snow in Laurencekirk! However Bermuda triangle phantom snow in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Don't you hate it when they tease us with fake snow!
  7. Same here. Scotland is famous for a lot of myths and legends. Nothing more so than the elusive phantom snow!
  8. Not good...Shnizzly rain in the north. For once I hope it doesn't make down to Falkirk.
  9. Blitzen remember all that yellow paint that METO had stockpiled over 2012/13/14. I think they are now using a scatter gun with it.
  10. I am not convinced it will be all that mild on Saturday! Tonight:Clear spells and wintry showers with more snow falling over higher ground of Perthshire and Angus. Staying drier with longer clear spells across Stirlingshire and Fife. Freshening northerly winds. Minimum Temperature -3C. Saturday:Sunny spells and showers, these most frequent across northern Perthshire and Angus. Snow on hills initially but falling to low levels by evening. Feeling cold with strong northerly winds. Maximum Temperature 5C.
  11. Its just at Pitlochry now. Certainly being slowed by the Grampians but I think bits of it will make it. Still got the Ochills to get past as well!
  12. I know Catch its a long shift. I would settle for a wee shower from it right now though. Traffic Scotland suggests its just past Dalwhinnie where it is actually snowing.
  13. That band between Inverness and Kingussie is really shifting. I calculated about 30 miles per hour. Seems to have suddenly woken up.
  14. Well they also said it would be rain on the west coast. Guess what its chucking bit down with snow outside Stranraer! Tomorrow is allegedly slightly milder but I am now not so sure.

  16. Hairy not on radar seen on traffic Scotland, but only in Sutherland and Wick area! Think yours will be on the way.
  17. Its snowing in the far north of Scotland. That's our next chance of snow if it makes it over the snow eating mountains.
  18. I see what everyone is talking about. It almost looks like a vortex and wants to swirl round in a circle. If it did it would be superb but...the jury is out!
  19. The showers breaking off it might make it inland. The main band is likely to hit Dumfries and N Eire if anywhere.
  20. Its definitely inching inland ,but painfully slow!
  21. Yes I heard that one. They even said it might reach W Lothian? They were pretty confident of the snow coming from the north later on though!
  22. Looking at the satelite history. It does seem to be moving slightly east with every step southward. Who knows it might just scrape cental Scotland.
  23. I think that must be heading our way it looks impressive!
  24. Forecasts are a bit vague about this band coming down from the north tonight! Has anyone got any further forecast info about when it is likely to reach the central belt?
  25. That blob is confusing it looks like it's now going west towards Glasgow! I though it was going south?
