I have no doubt I'll miss out on all the fun because that's just my luck lol .... spent the last week getting excited only for snow showers to surround me but not over me...I can literally see the snow lying on other side of town on my way to work lol ... tomorrow and Friday I think will be my last chance for the season .... so weird - my area is usually one of the worst hit because of its elevation - but definitely not in this set up ? Im at the point where I just have to laugh now ?

Am I the only one here that hasn’t got snow today? Lol. And by no snow - I mean not even a thin layer on the ground ?

Yeh pretty crap here - nada. Well jealous of everyone lol. I feel like this is the last chance for the winter to see some good snow - looks like I’ll miss out and have to wait till next winter ?. Seen the pics on Facebook of M1 heading toward some Lisburn. Looks like a whiteout. So close yet sun splitting trees here in Mallusk. Had a snow shower for about 20mins. All gone and dry now. Lay for a bit but all dried out now. Whyyy lol? Either side of me but nothing here ?? Total bust for this specific area lol

I’m having serious doubts - everyone in work is hoping heavy snow arrives (even the boss) so they can get out of some events - normally everyone’s cursing the snow - they’re all jinxing it lol - this is the type of situation when it doesn’t happen lol

I think I actually give up lol! Hockey training tonight - always hope for a frozen pitch for cancelling - not happening tonight - like whaaaa!! I've given up all hope and need to get away from this rollercoaster - my head's fried lol

Just read about a massive snowball fight organised in Dublin - snow's not even here yet - I'm so jealous lol! May need a day trip to Dublin to get my fix until next winter (Pleaseee!! lol) .. Not much talk about the second SSW - does anyone think, after this 'milder' spell takes over, that we could get anything after (middle - end of March) - I was not mentally prepared for that last bout of snow to be the last for the entire winter lol .. I'm now mentally prepared for any snow that decides to show up - I will enjoy and move on and be ready for spring I jest with a hint of sadness lol

Would that second SSW affect the models the last few days or is that me wishful thinking lol?

Well it's baltic out there ... hoping to see some snow tomorrow evening (automated forecast has snow beginning Tues evening for me, and on and off until Sun). May possibly miss a nice big amount, but the cold's locked in until Friday so hoping for some big surprises. If we got anything close to March 2013 I'd be happy

Can anyone give me a quick summary of how things have changed to originally an eastern / mainland U.K. event to us getting in on the action? I knew the East of the Norn Iron would get something but it seems like it’ll be a lot better than we expected. Similar levels to 2013? Or better? Theres so many factors affecting everything. I find it so interesting - just would like to understand it a bit better. Think I have a fair idea - basically the introduction of this low pushing things a bit more north resulting in easterly wind direction more towards us? Is that right? Lol I’m probably Way off the mark. Just so interested.
