    Definite flakes mixed in with the sleet here. Evaporative cooling beginning to take effect coupled with an intensification of the ppn. If it does turn to wet snow the ground is so wet it would take a lot to get a covering.

    Warning issued for parts of the region. http://www.metoffice...0&regionName=nw Just took a look outside and the rain has turned much more sleety with the odd wet flake falling amidst the sleety rain.

    Wind has picked up here. Horizontal driving snow and getting blown around on the roofs and ground. Some nice little drifts forming and about 3cm level cover.

    Dew points still rising but only slowly now 0.2C in the last hour. Should be okay for a little while yet.

    Yes, coming down quite heavily but small flakes. Heavy enough to lay on the wet surfaces that appeared during the lull earlier. Everywhere white again - for now! Temp 0.3C dp -1.2C Flakes starting to get a bit bigger.

    Intensity just dropped off. Looks to be a small area of light ppn passing over. Nice area of heavier stuff following on close behind. Temp 0.2C dp -1.6C

    A few bigger flakes beginning to appear amidst the heavy snizzle - not much of a covering as yet due to the wind

    The low dew points could bode well for the longevity of the snowfall. dp currently -5.5C

    Certainly A right old dumping of snow in this neck of the woods last night! Just been out with the shovel clearing the driveway easy 15cm with up to 20cm in places
