    Still hanging onto high temps here, neighbour says her thermometer is reading 26c and that's on the cool side of the house. Slight breeze but it's hot too! Earlier on when I went out to fetch in the washing, I could feel the heat radiating from the slabs. Weird, never noticed that before.

    Got very hot later on yesterday, and this morning it's very airless and very warm. No thermometer so no idea of temp. Sky is different today, white instead of the lovely blue yesterday. Still surprised at how hot and settled it is down here compared to the last house. Height really makes a huge difference doesn't it.

    Dull start but sun came out mid morning, blazing sun and 25C. Now feels very warm outside.

    What government NL? Wee problem there, that we haven't got one. Nicola will do her best but her powers are limited. ROASTING hot down here, I've been inside on the recliner in front of a fan all day. Oot in car yesterday down to Yetholm for a pub lunch. Puffy am glad you and your lungs have decided to behave

    Sunnyish nice day here but a wee bit on the cool side. Got the garden finished, it's so neat it looks like a hotel Am in love with this rose.

    Orkney sounds lovely snowidea, I'd love to visit it - have a nice wee break. All my life I wanted to see Shetland but snot gonny happen now.

    Thunder, lightning and monsoon rain in Jedburgh this afternoon. Thought the car was going to float away on the way home. Puffy hopefully they'll all sod off and leave you in peace for a bit now. Tell them if you want any exercise then you can read a heavy book, it works for me.

    Thunder lightning and tropical cloudburst last night. Street turned into a brown river. Had one or two intense showers today as well, and the sun feels hot.

    Had very light rain most of today. flowers loved it.

    Fabulous day, hit 24C at North Berwick. But the water still cold enough to turn my feet blue in a paddle.

    Too bloody hot here, very odd how different the north and south of the country is. We had a few wee drops of rain early morning but not enough to wet the ground. Rest of the day has been hot, overcast, and windy.

    Puffy, I'll come visit you and bring a sharpened teaspoon so you can dig a tunnel to the outside world. Might take a while though. Save me a grape.

    Pretty disappointing here, cauld wind and very overcast. I've been forced to eat a lot of cake to get over the trauma. Lemon Drizzle actually.
