  1. Well the car's white this morning, but the weather station is saying minus 7 which I think is a lie. Puffy will be laughing at me up there, he told me it was possessed
  2. Bloody awful day here, horrible wind & rain. Can I ask a stupid question here --- how or where do I find out what direction the wind is from? Down here it's hard to tell as it gusts around between the houses and the tall trees at the back. I don't see wind forecasts on bbc or netweather radar, just rain.
  3. Dried up here and sun even came oot for a bit. Good but boring weather doon here.
  4. Wow. We've had steady drizzle, that's all. All day though, but not heavy rain by any means.
  5. Pretty wet and woollly earlier, calming down a wee bit now, not sure if that'll last though.
  6. NL, think if I had a huge calf born by caesarian then I'd be a pretty grumpy cow as well. Well done for helping them xx
  7. Wild and woolly doon here, sunny but very blowy. Too many trees round me here, Think I preferred living out on the moor to this.
  8. Steady heavy rain and the heating on! (for the cat, you understand. Not for us.)
  9. Nice day down here, sat out in a friend's garden all afternoon. No geese but a few juvenile buzzards playing overhead.
  10. People all over Scotland in my gardening group are reporting geese going south now. Wee bit early is it not?
  11. Never seen rain like this lot. Woke up a few times through the night by the roar of it! Still heavy this morning with absolute torrents off and on. Think they'll be getting worried up in Ettrick & Yarrow, and Hawick of course. Awful bloody summer.
  12. Not even had the energy to post. Rain rain rain and rain. SIck offit.
  13. Same down here, most rain I've seen in the 2 and a half years I've been here. Back garden gravel looked like the bottom of a fish tank yesterday!
  14. Terrific downpour half an hour ago here, the first real rain we've had in ages. Back garden now floating on 2" of water
  15. Very hot here today, loads of horrible wee beasties crawling all over everybody. Some of my tall plants have collapsed with heatstroke.
  16. Isnt it a weird spell though? Either you get brilliant hot sun or you're smothered in chilly gloom, and there's a brief changeover period with sun and cold winds. Poor plants and birds won't know if they're coming or going!
  17. We've had cloudy mornings with brilliantly sunny afternoons/evenings. Scorching today temp at 5pm is 18.5.
  18. Another lovely day, same as yesterday. Temp at 19c with blue skies and wee fluffly white clouds
