  1. It's been a brilliant spell of weather. Warm by day, but comfortable nights for sleeping. Couldn't be much better in my view. Humidity and temps will be on the rise from now on though. Saturday is looking like a very sticky day.
  2. Yeah, some rain would be most welcome, regardless of whether we get any thunderstorms. It's very arid out and about with soil cracking in places. Fingers crossed the drought ends in spectacular fashion
  3. Back to predominantly sunny skies here today with a high of 21.1C. Not looking forward to the more uncomfortable nights coming up with temperature and humidity both set to rise over the next few days. It would be nice if we can get some decent convective activity as compensation, but I won't hold my breath on that.
  4. A cloudy morning here, but cloud broke up just after lunchtime to leave a sunny afternoon. Temperature has reached 19.4C today, but has felt warmer than that in the strong sunshine.
  5. Cloudy for most of the day here, but has broken up somewhat to leave some decent sunny periods this evening. Temp down on recent days due to cloud cover, but still managed to reach 16.1C.
  6. Another fine day here, warm and sunny with temp up to 21.3C. As others have said, current conditions are definitely much more preferable over temps nearer to 30C and/or high humidity. It does look as though temperatures will be creeping up as the week goes on though, but more of a breeze likely.
  7. A superb weekend of weather we've just had. Although we've not had heatwave temperatures, upstairs rooms in the house are starting to progressively warm up and become a little uncomfortable in the evenings, although at least temperatures have been dipping overnight to allow things to cool down. Another fine week of weather coming up this week, but with max temps edging up as the week goes on. Hopefully things don't become too hot. A decent thundery breakdown would be great when the settled weather does eventually break.
  8. The fabulous weather continues and no end in sight for some time. Another sunny, warm day, temp peaked at 22.1C. Perfect summer weather. Vegetation is certainly starting to look quite brown in places, which isn't going to change any time soon.
  9. Yes, much more cloud around today and as a result, a bit cooler than it has been over the past few days, but still pleasant enough out, currently 14.8C. Sun is trying to burst through every now again.
  10. Less cloud around today, mostly sunny with max temp nudging 20C. Managed to get a few gardening jobs done. No rain looking likely for several more days at least with high pressure remaining in charge.
  11. Yeah, amazing goal. That was so nervy, relief at the final whistle. We survive again!
  12. More cloud around here today, especially this afternoon, with occasional sunny breaks. Still warm out though, temp has still reached 20C this afternoon, despite the cloud cover. Hoping for a miracle in the second half in the Everton match. Just need to scrape a goal from somewhere.
  13. Good to see Luton back in the top flight after all these years. Nothing quite like a football stadium where someone's house and garden is the turnstile! Hoping the Toffees can maintain their top flight status tomorrow.
  14. Well it's turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far here, temp reached 22.3C with hardly a cloud in the sky. No BBQ for me unfortunately, but something just as tasty - venison steaks and sweet potato fries. Beers have been chilling in the fridge all afternoon, won't be long until I crack one open.
  15. Yes, we've really lucked out with the weather in our part of the world this spring. I'm sure we'll pay for it at some point. It's another stunning start to the day here with wall to wall sunshine. Going to be a warm day today, could well be the warmest day of the year so far.
  16. Plenty of sunshine around again today and warm out, temperature reached 21.8C this afternoon. Much less wind around today than previous days which made it feel that bit warmer out. A fine bank holiday weekend coming up. Enjoy all, whatever you are doing.
  17. It looks like we have faired quite well compared to some parts of the region in terms of sunshine amounts today. Been largely sunny all day, although there was more in the way of cloud around lunchtime. Another warm day, max temp 20.2C.
  18. Suits me fine. As long as the extreme heat stays away, I'll be perfectly happy to have a few more days of this sunny, dry weather. Great for outdoor activities. Another very pleasant day again today. The rain will be sure to arrive at some point, so best to make the most of the current weather.
  19. Not quite as warm today and a keen breeze, but another nice day all the same with plenty of sunshine. Max temperature 18.1C here and has felt pleasant enough out.
  20. The warmest day of the year so far here and felt very warm out this afternoon in the strong sun, a max temperature of 21.7C. It looks as though this theme will continue over the next few days and probably into the bank holiday weekend at least with high pressure remaining firmly in charge.
  21. A sunny, warm afternoon here with just a few clouds in the sky. Currently 21.1C. Highest temperature recorded so far this year was 21.4C earlier this month which may well be exceeded today.
  22. Another sunny start here, a low of 6.6C overnight and another superb day in the offing.
  23. The temperature maxed out at 20.9C here. It's been a really nice day. More of the same tomorrow by the looks of it. I note the possibility of rural grass frost mentioned by the metoffice for tonight.
  24. A glorious start to the day here in a month which keeps on giving weather wise. Temps likely to reach around 20C today. Personally, I'm not at all bothered by the lack of early heat wave this year. Temps in the low 20s celcius is fine for me. For those craving some heat, it is sure to arrive at some point by which point I'll be welded to a fan.
