    Goodness gratious that makes 2010 look petty! I think even though us young folk have experienced some very cold weather we still haven't seen a true snowstorm.

    Well my dad said there was snow in his backyard in june in 1963 so it must've been very cold. Apparently at the worst the snow was level to the top of 6 foot hedges.

    10c cloudy. Boring... Far too warm for this time of the night but sure.

    Well we had about 21 in 2010 here so if that is not the worst winter or the worst location i'm sure it is possible.

    Well i read it was subzero for like two months.

    Well to be honest I think it is possible for us to be subzero for three months which is a st anthony style winter. Not a lithuanian winter.

    Well it depends what you mean by cold. If you mean Siberian style then yes people would die but I think if we got a 2010 style winter lasting for several months then I doubt we'd die.

    They cope pretty easily. -30c weather is not going to kill us. Anyway I would love it to be the coldest winter in history. That means that we would actually experience a proper arctic winter i.e. 100 ice days. My aim in life for weather is actually to see 100 ice days in my home place.

    Really? Ill have to look that up to see what current temps are. Nope current forecasts for 13c highs next week in Eastern Germany which is warmer than me. The closest cold to me this week will be in the shetlands where they will receive -7c uppers.

    But again that ain't no benefit to us because most of the time the cold air stays in Central and Eastern Europe. The only cold weather that suits us is the North Westerly or Northerly air from Greenland.
