  1. And the T-Storm warning has disappeared from my area for tomorrow and Saturday despite the Met now issuing a warning. Considering the BBC get their info from tbe Met, this makes no sense.
  2. Hasn't it been about 3 years since El Gordo? That's the last time I saw an even remotely decent storm here.
  3. Have one for Friday and Saturday afternoon now, but I am about as hopeful as them remaining as I am about winning the lottery.
  4. Harry, knowing our T-Storm history, I doubt you'll miss anything.
  5. According to my rainfall data we had no rain for 3 weeks and 3 weeks, 2 days in August 2011 and July 2013 respectively. Bear in mind that's based on a basic rain guage so may not be totally accurate.
  6. Well what was an ominous looking storm cloud has dropped a few drops of rain and that's it.
  7. Looks very rainy on the horizon, but it did last night and nothing came of it.
  8. I think the line of heavy rain and storms seems to e breaking up as it hits London/Kent.
  9. I don't even like storms anyway, the last thing I want is one....
  10. I'm quite surprised at that level of activity actually. Looks like it could be brewing up for rain here.
  11. Looks like it could be brewing up for rain. I need the garden watered.
  12. Looking at the radar it seems the cells coming down are dying off just before Essex.
  13. I believe one of our members filmed that. I was young, but I remember it well for the green skies that I had never seen before and felt quite scared about, despite loving storms. They don't make 'em like that anymore.
  14. Assuming the seasons do what they are supposed to: 1. Summer 2. Spring/Autumn 3. Winter Having said that if winter has epic snowfalls, then that beats spring and summer. There isn't really a season I dislike other than when you get days and days of cold, dry, greyness.
  15. I think it's going to be naturally quieter when the weather is fair. Luckily for me I finished early so have been sunning myself in the garden for the last 2 hours.
  16. The temp definitely took a drop last night after such a warm day. Had to put a blanket over me.
  17. Just had a short, sharp downpour which wasn't forecast or on the radar. How does that happen? Heavy rain, but no radar trace?
  18. Not bothered about long evenings but it could do with getting lighter later. August is about perfect for that.
  19. Being sensitive to light, noise and sensations is quite common amongst those with Aspergers. I had no idea you had it but I recognised what you described so that should encourage you that you are not weird for feeling that way. Something you can do is gradual exposure work where you gradually build up a tolerance to these things in a similar way you would work on a phobia. I can't link on my phone but do look up hypersensitivity and Aspergers for more info.
