I feel like the theme from Jeopardy has summed up these last couple of days, stormwise, for me.
-
If I miss out again today I will not be a happy bunny.
-
We got rain last night but nothing substantial or thundery.
-
See looking at the radars it seems things will clip the very SE, BUT BBC weather just forecast heavy rain and storms pretty much all the way along the South coast and upwards
-
According to that, there have strikes exploding in the channel now.
-
Well BBC seems to think the storm will come right through the UK from about Plymouth through the the Belgian coast by the looks of the graphics.
-
Well even if we don't get a storm, I'll be grateful of the rain so I don't have to water the plants, although Harry seems to reckon the rain will be more confined to the far East Coast now?
-
Temp has dropped and it has started to lightly rain but not particularly stormy.
-
I think it was me reading it wrong! No, LOL Simon is a pretty good forecaster and level headed too! He detests The Daily Express Btw! His forecast is for thundery rain tonight, not the worst storms for 50 years! Sorry for the confusion, did I balls up my post!
-
Are you saying weatherweb is the Express of the internet? This forecast up date from weatherweb.net does sound promising for some, regarding thunder tonight! Especially over East Anglia, London and the Southeast! Heavy downpours with 20 to 30 mm possible! The Wednesday look ahead video on the home page is 9minutes long, the 'thunder talk' , starts at 7minutes onwards! Still not biblical Daily Express thunder, but thundery rain never the less! I think this is what the 'forecasters' at Metcheck were banging on about Harry! http://www.weatherweb.net/wxwebtv2.php
-
Totally, but then again I was prepared for that!
-
Well despite forecasts for heavy rain and a hail storm along with good CAPE and LI, we have not even had a drop of rain. It says it should be raining right now!

Well despite looking like it would chuck it down, we've not had a drop.
I'm not too optimistic about later as it has been relatively cloudy all afternoon. I think my chances may lie later in the week.
-
Currently in Sheppey and it looks like it's going to chuck it down.
-
I think Kent's best chance seemed like yesterday so I will be (happily) surprised to see anything today.
-
I dunno. Storm chance today is half what it was yesterday and we got nothing so I'm not entirely convinced we'll get anything today.
-
I think Kent will miss out. Harumph!
-
Look at that beast develop over western France.....

What direction is that headed?
-
:rofl:I no longer live in Chatham, I'm actually back in Wilmington (NW Kent) but have been unable to change my profile settings for some reason.
Close enough!

You know I really don't know. I think anything that imports might miss me, I shall still sleep with the window open in anticipation, although I fully expect I will sleep through it, should it happen.
-
What are people looking at to see these cells popping up in N. France?
-
BBC local forecast doesn't seem to think T-Storms for Kent, more just some showers.
-
As we head into the next 48 hours of much promise I feel this video is apt:

Got heavy rain here, but nothing thundery. Blue skies now.
