  1. There was thunder & lightning here this morning. Whilst it wasn't a classic, a pigeon putting it's wing over it's head isn't going to tell you that.
  2. Attention now turns to Wednesday.. I wonder if the Met Office will issue a yellow warning? Not that it looks like being that bad, but they do like their wind warnings.
  3. Cells should really start popping up in the channel in the next couple of hours.
  4. It's so dark that my solar sensor is registering 0WM² Big flash of lightning here.
  5. Over 140 strikes detected for me, all from the channel, of course. Rain intensity increasing slowly.
  6. If anything does occur here tomorrow, I hope it's not between 1 and 3pm. Nothing gets me out my chair when the F1 grand prix is on.
  7. Yeah, I've just seen that my detector picked up a strike, so I checked the radar to see some sferics just nw of the channel islands.
  8. I don't think I've seen weather underground's forecast show 'severe thunderstorms possible'?! Wareham Weather - Weather Underground Weather Forecasts WAREHAMWX.CO.UK Weather underground forecast for Wareham, Dorset, and all cities across the UK
  9. I'm not convinced of much lightning on that first trough tomorrow. It's the showers that develop later tomorrow that look to have a better chance. I suspect that first trough will have lightning when it develops out of France, and then the activity will die down as it hits the south coast.
  10. I'd be quite happy if I got some torrential rain here. The hi-res models are moving about a lot, but I remain optimistic!
  11. Patiently waiting for the 15z UKV update to keep my hopes alive of getting a storm this year.
  12. Possible for some thunderstorms/showers in the SE tomorrow.
  13. Sunshine stats for July & August were awful here. I recorded 150.2 hours for July. Second dullest in at least 12 years (my own station data) Met Office average is 234.3 hours. August came in with 135.9 hours. Dullest for 12 years (my own station data) Met Office average is 218 hours. Both July and August were the second wettest in 12 years.
