Attention now turns to Wednesday.. I wonder if the Met Office will issue a yellow warning? Not that it looks like being that bad, but they do like their wind warnings.
I don't think I've seen weather underground's forecast show 'severe thunderstorms possible'?!

I'm not convinced of much lightning on that first trough tomorrow. It's the showers that develop later tomorrow that look to have a better chance.
I suspect that first trough will have lightning when it develops out of France, and then the activity will die down as it hits the south coast.
Sunshine stats for July & August were awful here.
I recorded 150.2 hours for July. Second dullest in at least 12 years (my own station data) Met Office average is 234.3 hours.
August came in with 135.9 hours. Dullest for 12 years (my own station data) Met Office average is 218 hours.
Both July and August were the second wettest in 12 years.
