  1. Afternoon! What a dreary day?! A max of 18°C. Managed to get more garden work done. So many weeds banished! Lawn cut etc. Trying to get stuff done early this year, helpful now I've got one of those green waste bins.
  2. A pleasant day, reaching 23.2°C, but not much sunshine. I'm ahead of schedule with the Autumn clean up in the garden. Normally, everything is wet and stuck to the ground.
  3. Managed 24.3°C about 30 minutes ago, with barely any breeze. Very nice!
  4. What a beaut of a day! managed 21.8°C Lovely sat by the pond. Fish still active, chrysanthemums flowering. Reminds me of October 2018, very nice indeed!
  5. Just scoping through some of my data.. I broke 9 records for September itself, and 2 all time records - highest dew point and highest minimum temp.
  6. Nice find. On my website graphs, I combined data from both Hurn and Swanage Met Office sites to compare against my own data, as I am in the middle of those two. My own yearly rain average is a fair bit higher than those two sites, but it's actually close to the Dorset value that you've shown in that image, which is good to know.
  7. Lightning maps just gets it's data from Blitzortung. Blitzortung is made up of hundreds of detectors from amateur weather station owners. Anyone can buy a detector and get themselves on the Blitzortung network.
  8. Might get a chance for us tomorrow as a trough creeps through.
  9. To be fair, the forecast was for 40mph gusts here over the last few hours, including now. It's absolutely nowhere near that.
  10. Not sure why they are limiting it on their main website, as you can get the full data with an API call and a free DataPoint API key?!
  11. I think that depends where you are.. I measured a UVI of over 4 this afternoon, that's certainly enough to burn skin after a period of time.
  12. You would need to pair a station with weather software to get a sunshine calculation, something like Cumulus MX or Weather Display. The software would need to support the station as well. Ecowitt stations don't have solar or UV sensors, only a lux sensor. The lux data gets converted to produce a solar radiation and a UV calculation, so it shouldn't be taken too seriously.
  13. A low of 6.4°C this morning. A few light showers earlier, and a hefty one just now. Temp in the sunshine managed 17.7°C.
  14. I think that'll be it for here. Just one shower. We'll be in that large gap now.
  15. The usual case of showers having more chance of electrical activity the further inland you are.
  16. Ended up with 39.4mm of rain today. 85mm since Sunday.
  17. Thoroughly wet today! 33.2mm so far. Up until Sunday, September's rainfall total was 1.4mm. 79.4mm has fallen since then.
