Pressure is hovering around 1001 here at the moment. Amazing to think it'll drop over 45mb in two days. I'm plumping for a min of 954 here. That'll beat my record by 12mb.

Something I am keen on; The GFS gives a 22mb drop here in just 6 hours. Looking very likely my record will go.

After a bit more research, it's more than likely that the super capacitor has died. If I understand correctly, the Davis transmitter gets it's juice via the solar panel to charge the super cap. If the super cap is dead, the juice bypasses it, and continues to feed the transmitter. However, as light becomes weak or it's dark, the battery is supposed to feed the super cap to keep the transmitter working. If the super cap is dead, the battery does nothing, unfortunately. I haven't done soldering before, but it looks like I may have to attempt to solder a new super cap on to the board.

Almost. The solar panel charges a capacitor, the battery is supposed to take over when the capacitor is low. I think (hope) the battery is dead?! I only replaced it in July. Normally, the station reports "OK" or "FAIL" for transmitter batteries. It says "OK" so I'm not too sure. Roof ladder is hopefully arriving today, so I can check it out.

I think the Met Office should've elongated the warning a bit further west?!

Been under a train of deluges here for hour. Now over an inch for today.

October 2020 had 227.6mm. My record is 244mm for November last year.
-
A further 18mm here. Up to 166.8mm. A lot of rain, but a long way from my records.

My anemometer transmitter packed up. Great timing!
-
Still have 8 months left on that, but I think it's the transmitter that has died. I can test the anemometer on the main transmitter to rule out any issues with the anemometer itself, but it's on my chimney 10m up. I have to hire a roof ladder again, which is £60. A new transmitter is £230. Typical that it died before this week's storm. :(
