  1. Got woken up several times by heavy rain early this morning. 20mm fell here. It seemed like heavy rain kept pepping up right over this area. Monthly total at 104mm.
  2. I've just popped on to find it is very slow, both mobile and desktop. As of 1:40am.
  3. It started last week, but it hasn't gotten any better. Coming to the forum can be very slow, or I get the invision page to say there's a temporary issue. Clicking threads has gotten very slow and clunky at times as well. This is happening randomly through the day, but it's been happening since last week.
  4. 5.5 hours of sunshine today. Temp managed 14.9°C. Also had a sharp downpour earlier. Just ordered my new winter mtb light, it's a beast!
  5. A really nice day. Some mammatus from a passing shower to end the day.
  6. Anyway, gfuqhgfpjhin' aside After 38.4mm of rain yesterday, the skies have cleared nicely here
  7. That's because you've been too busy writing off forthcoming Winter's, Don.
  8. Funny that, I've also seen the exact same thing when temperatures are a little bit above average.
  9. Just to end my posts on the subject; temperatures have been above average here. I've been busy working outside. I've come indoors to relax, and I've felt a little chilly, so I've put the heating on for a few hours. Where's the shame in that?
  10. I already explained.. if you cannot accept that some people feel cold, regardless of what the temperatures are outside, then you need to take a step back. A few on here complain about FEELING hot in the summer and then, ironically, try to shame other members for FEELING cold in late Autumn.
  11. It makes me wonder why a select few even bother to frequent this weather forum..?! They seem to be more interested in needling other members, rather than taking an interest in the weather.
  12. That ol' chestnut again?! Perhaps you ought to take your own advice when you complain about it being too warm? I thought not.
  13. It's very strange seeing 964.1 hPa on my barometer at the moment.. and yet the 953.9 a few days ago eclipsed it. 28.8mm of rain today. 72mm already this month. 18th consecutive day of rain has totalled 225.8mm.
  14. Is it really that difficult to understand that some people feel cold relative to what the air temperature outside values might be? It's no different to people who feel hot in the Spring or Summer, when the air temperature outside is average. There's nothing to understand.. it's a non-argument.
  15. Today's low pressure reading here would've been a new record if it wasn't for the first storm. 965.1. Another 17mm of rain overnight.
  16. Is there an option for members to turn it off? I'm not too keen on it.. It feels cramped. Also, when you scroll down the thread, there is just a big empty space that makes it look weird.
  17. False alarm number 2.. The new CR123 battery was dead. January 2023. Put a new one in and it has been feeding the capacitor for about 20 mins now. I also took the battery out and it carried on sending wind data, so I know it's getting a charge. Bloody weather stations! haha
  18. New super capacitor successfully soldered on! I didn't bother using a volt meter to test it. I left the solar panel unplugged, and inserted the CR2123 battery, and wind data was working. So that means the battery is putting charge in to the super cap.
  19. 56mph average wind speed at Portland at the moment. Crazy. Just 13mph here.
  20. Well that was a lively night! Some good wind gusts, lots of rain, thunder & lightning. Up to 39mm already this month. Close to 200mm has fallen in the last 15 days.
