Model Moans, Ramps and Banter

Yep! I expect there's big differences at a smaller distance than that. Make that 25 days of double-digit maximums! I've just hit 10.2°C -

As I said in my previous post, it has come down to regions and even counties. I've had 24 double-digit days so far this Winter, and not made it below zero in January. My own stats show a different story - worse than last Winter. -
Despite the MetO showing heavy rain for 13 hours, 6 of them have brought just 7mm. There's only been bits & pieces of rain, nothing persistent. The charts yesterday showed much of the rain missing here, and they still do. Temp: 8.7°C - Hum: 98% - Dew: 8.4°C - Bar: 1010.23hPa - Wind: Calm. Nothing convective showing up on any charts I've seen @karlos1983

Model Moans, Ramps and Banter

Going by a lot of reports across the British Isles, this Winter, it is a case of huge variation across counties, it seems. So far, my Winter average temperature is running above last year's, and running above a Met Office derived average temperature (between Bournemouth & Swanage) I haven't made it below zero in January, yet. Compared to 9 days last January. To say that this Winter is worse than last year in terms of temperatures, really is saying something. On a side note, i've recorded above average rainfall, but also above average sunshine. A very odd one, so far! -

Don't be so hard on yourself! The same thing happens with the likes of Portland or the Needles.. Impressive gust speeds, but they're so exposed and slightly away from normal civilisation that it tends to look rather bad. 70mph+ is still noteworthy, though. However, the yellow warning seems more than adequate at the moment. -

But, look at observations from other stations that are around it - they are in 50's, 60's and 70's - exactly what the MetO put in their warning. -

Capel Curig is at an altitude of 650ft, 93mph there, isn't unusual when winds are forecast to be gusting to 70mph. -
I emailed them about 10 years ago regarding that, and they point-blank refused. I thought it was worth another try, seeing as they are now corresponding with PWS owners. I can do the km/h to mph in my head ok, but I just can't stand seeing it when i'm viewing my own, or other people's data. A bit like 0 - 100 km/h, wtf is 0 - 62mph all about? PS: it looks like the data is now working correctly?! It is back to showing data points at 5 minute intervals again.
