    A few days ago, there were one or two ensemble members hinting at those thicknesses, even showing the 510 DAM across parts of the country - all spreading in from the West. The origin of the air is obviously favourable for those kind of figures. Quite interesting I would say?!

    No frost or ice this morning. Windy, gusting to 31mph. Chilly, but nothing extraordinary.

    Grey today, top temp of 5.3°C Nothing cold in the short term for here, not even any frosts forecast. Double figures by Wednesday. As a comparison to show how crap this Winter has been.. Last Winter (December to January 6th) I had 12 air frosts. This Winter I have had 6.

    It didn't turn out that bad here, certainly nothing like what the forecast showed. Down to a gentle breeze now.

    The wind has finally increased. Gusting to 43mph.

    Not particularly windy here, just a mod breeze. Temp: 12.3°C - Hum: 80% - Dew: 8.9°C - Rain: 4.4mm - Bar: 994.07hPa - Wind: WSW ~ W @ 15mph.

    Yes, 53mph recorded at my station. I'm sure it was higher in other spots around me, but there's too many obstacles in the path, so I will lose some speed in the readings. Nonetheless, very impressive. Both wind speed and wind gust went yesterday. I wished I had the anemometer up there during the 2013/14 Winter - would've loved to have seen the readings from them, particularly the Valentines storm.

    Quite a few charts show it missing here and going in to France. The MetO shows nothing for here, so they must be thinking the same thing.

    This is what gave me 53mph It moved through very fast though, so not much rain.
