I think the term 'milder' is probably overdoing it slightly. I would say less cold, but even down here, it looks to be around average by day for this coming week. If you compare that to the same week last year, i'm looking at 5 or 6 degrees lower than that. I suspect a few degrees lower up North. Nothing to really complain about if you don't want mild weather. -
Limit is 7MB. Does the iPhone not have a built in image editor so you can crop it slightly?

Lot's of time yet. The back edge just leaving Ireland is turning to sleet & snow as the colder air begins to wrap around. It'll carry on doing this for the rest of the day.

I know what I was going to say... I told @matt111 that the winds should literally go from nothing, to gales in pretty much an instant. That's exactly what happened this morning. 4mph to 34, then 40mph within minutes.

Just managed a gust of 45mph. Not too shabby. Really wanted 51mph though. lol

The tail of the precip will turn to snow through the day, as the cold air digs around it.

Regular gusts over 40mph now.

Rain gauge has decided to stop working properly. All my other gauges are around 16mm, but my Davis has recorded 8mm. The reed switch is only registering a tip one way, so half of the rainfall will be measured. ;/

I think it's time to get my head down for a couple of hours?! I hope those in our region that are in the running for something snowy do get something during this event. Be sure to post some pictures.
