Flipping weather.
Just about to do some Very Important Gardening and it's bloody raining again. Couple of rumbles as well.

Missing out at home while in Barcelona. Glad I can see the photos and clips from other people.
Tbh I'd rather be in Barca, love that city!

Only partially correct, given how the NW of England into the W Mids have had a very good run as well.
Agree, the south and east are no longer the favoured areas (as has been the case for some time now, home grown or imported). Scotland has had far more activity!

Fair old amount of cloud starting to build to my W and NW, so I'd guess somewhere between here and Peterborough. Hard to tell without taking a drive.

Very ominous looking in the east from that cluster which produced lightning earlier. Some reports of unofficial rain guages recording over 2 inches of rainfall in 30 minutes under those storms.
Absolutely biblical rainfall in a very short time, almost constant thunder but sounded quite elevated. Nice to finally get in on the action!

Blimey, that was fun!
Biblical rainfall and what sounded like quite elevated activity. Pretty good show I'd say!

Pokey storm near Swaffham now.
I'm keeping a close eye on that, I need another hour for the washing! Hopefully it'll track north of Dereham.

A few sferics from the cell between Swaffham and Dereham.
Just say a bit north, the washing needs another hour or so....

Shortwave swinging northeastwards this evening/tonight likely to continue to set off random showers/storms for a wee while yet.
Once again the east of England forecast was off, the area of greatest risk saw pretty much zero apart from one discrete cell nr Sleaford. I appreciate timings played a part but it always seems to be the case compared with other regions.

I can never find a live webcam for the Clermont Ferrand area, it's such a shame as it regularly gets some great storms!
-
You have to laugh though, all the blah about the high risk area and look where storms are breaking out this afternoon and evening......

Finally lost all of the mid and high level stuff and shower clouds are building nicely. Temperatures around 24c now.
a few spots of rain coming out of these now, alas they will be Lincolnshire’s prize.
I'm bored, I've run out of gardening (which is quite an achievement!). I want some boomage!

I’m actually looking SW now from my top window, and can see what looks like rapid development over towards Mid Cambs and Peterborough way. Here’s hoping! It may not be over yet. Still only just gone 3PM. Peak heating is now upon us.
I think Norfolk is out of the mix, apart from the extreme west of the region, even that looks like being too far east tbh.

God this is painful. Going to regret not getting out earlier if the money is on that cell now developing over Lincs, and nothing else fires.
It would just be my luck to go for it now and then back home gets mullered by rapid development!!Yep, I was thinking the same thing!
Hey ho. There are some areas further south that may be of interest though, give it 30 mins!

Sun is blazing down here currently, and some modest cumulus are attempting to rise. Noticed that elongated cell near hull is now producing sferics.
Some strikes around Sleaford but as yet nothing making me want to go anywhere!

I never heard a thing in Winch!! The heavy rain woke me as it was insane and flooded the patio. Otherwise nothing else. No T or L heard!
I want to be in a veg growing group ...
Look up Veg Gardening UK on FB, some of the stuff posted is priceless (the best one was "I seem to have been cultivating a nettle.." )
