  1. When you look at a lightning map and watch storms in the North Sea off Denmark and wonder just what the heck that wretched body of water has against the UK.....
  2. Really, cos I can't and I'm about 10 miles from Norwich! Nothing's made landfall yet. Well, bar some light rain nr Lowestoft....
  3. Hmm let's see - Saturday, the odd sunny spell with a biting NE'ly, cold. Sunday - even colder, NE'ly gale blowing. Monday - considerably warmer because it wasn't that windy for a change. Today, mostly grey and cloudy with the odd glimpse of sunshine, cold NE'ly breeze.
  4. Heading south of Norwich and into Suffolk/Bury st Edmunds area I think - may get to see a brief flicker near the SE horizon in a while.
  5. Probably the NE, thus bypassing the east altogether. Well, just wouldn't be right for EA to have some action would it?
  6. I've got a dodgy pull switch in the bathroom. The lights flicker most satisfactorily
  7. You're not far wrong there, we had about 8mm last week and that's been it for the whole of May. Freshened up the garden a little but my grazing is in need of a damned good bath (and so are the sheep!)
  8. Limp as a wet lettuce compared with the northern edge. Typical. Norfolk can't get a storm from any direction these days, home grown are as rare as.
  9. Sadly I think you're right. Good old East Anglia, great at delivering rain. If this was January we'd get about a foot of snow....
  10. Standard! Or crosses Norfolk and Suffolk as rain and miraculously leaps into action west of the A1
  11. Knowing the East's luck, it will disappear entirely 5 miles off the coast and there'll be light to moderate rain
  12. Not that close, it's taking forever compared to the speed it crossed Holland. Electrical activity not as intense as over the land.
  13. Hmmm, that's going to be fun setting up for a weekend dog show then
  14. Arrgh! Look at Holland - how dare they use up all their storm budget before August
  15. Almost the widest fetch possible - we'll just end up with a load of furry clag and a few fat raindrops, you mark my words!
  16. Expecting a hose pipe ban here within the next few days.....wouldn't surprise me!
  17. Looking forward to some mist and light drizzle over the next few days Goodness knows why Norfolk is such a storm desert now, must be payback for the 80s....
  18. I can top that - the whole of Norfolk and Suffolk has a mega storm shield these days
  19. I think the storms on the Belgian/Luxembourg border are far more interesting. I bet I could fly there some time in the next 8 hours and still see more activity than anything here
  20. I can barely see past the bottom of the garden now. Where sheep go? Looks like a November evening (and feels like it!)
