  1. Constant rumbling of thunder, hear only couple of flashes of lightning rain here is quite heavy as I type this thunder is getting louder
  2. Nothing extream in june I'm going temp 13.8C and 70mm rain. Thanks.
  3. Light rain here, with distance, rumbles of thunder no lightning yet though
  4. For may I am going with 10.5C precipitations, 95 mm. I think this may well be a wet one
  5. Sadly i can't see April be warm this year I think April will be quite cold and wet to boot. I'm going temp 7.1C and precipitation 95MM. Thank You.
  6. There is still a good cover in the shade and on some rooftops. Let’s hope we get another dose tonight to top it up before mild air comes in.
  7. Considering models were all over the place last few days, it has been an excellent event here, as for people getting stuck on roads they don’t take the warnings from the Met office very seriously, and that is the problem that mett will put out warnings and a lot of the time it doesn’t come off. This is why folks don’t take it too seriously. Here is a couple of pictures from this morning is full. I was unfortunate not to get any yesterday IMG_1723.MOV IMG_1724.MOV
  8. Snow still moderate here good cover on everything here is a short video made a few minutes ago IMG_1724.MOV IMG_1723.MOV
  9. Moderate snow, falling here covering everything again. The cover we had yesterday majority of it got washed away now it’s all covered in the wind blowing quite strong as well, and it’s a bitter wind out that today. All you folks on the road do take care and drive safely.
  10. The mets text forecast is an interesting read for tonight and the next 30days. West Midlands weather forecast Thursday 9 Mar - Monday 13 Mar Headline: Unsettled with rain and snow, and strong winds. This Evening and Tonight: Rain continuing into the evening, with some heavier bursts at times. Turning more wintry overnight, with snow mainly across higher ground. Staying fairly breezy overnight where it will feel particularly cold. Minimum temperature -1 °C. Friday: Rain, sleet and snow gradually clears Friday morning to give a drier and brighter day with a few snow flurries. Lighter winds and a widespread frost overnight with icy stretches. Maximum temperature 6 °C. Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Drier on Saturday with further rain, sleet, and snow in the evening. Turning brighter for a time later Sunday before further rain and snow overnight into Monday with strong winds. Updated: 16:00 (UTC) on Thu 9 Mar 2023 UK long range weather forecast Tuesday 14 Mar - Thursday 23 Mar Strong winds will likely turn northerly on Tuesday, drawing colder air southwards across much of the UK. This is expected to bring wintry showers, especially impacting many exposed coasts. However, away from Scotland, settling snow most likely confined to high ground. Temperatures nearer average in the south. The unsettled regime is predicted to stay into mid-week, although becoming milder than average for most away from the far north, this bringing rainfall, and potentially strong winds at times. This theme is likely to continue, with spells of rain periodically moving north, and snow on the leading edge of rainfall over northern high ground. Many places potentially wetter than average through this period, except for the far north, with temperatures around average for many. Updated: 14:00 (UTC) on Thu 9 Mar 2023 Friday 24 Mar - Friday 7 Apr Confidence remains fairly low during this period, with a lot of uncertainty. However, in general it's likely to be drier further north, apart from occasional wintry showers, while rain and strong winds are more likely to be more of a feature in the south, with a low risk of snow at times, mainly on the boundary between these two regimes. Milder conditions may extend north periodically. Temperatures overall mainly around average, with milder spells in the south and colder spells in the north. Updated: 15:00 (UTC) on Thu 9 Mar 2023.
  11. Mat is right although the BBC get the weather forecast from retail group. The UK Met office is responsible for all UK weather warnings if I am right, I think only island get the warning from met Iran and that’s only the Republic I think anyway a good UKMO at 120 hours. Let’s hope ECM follow suit
  12. Temperature here now 1°C. DP is now 03 and windchill here now is minus 3C. Hope the rain coming in will produce a Nother snowfall. I am not holding my hopes though still can’t complain, I think here we did quite well. In fact, I think we did better than some of our fellow Midlanders.
  13. Temperature here is at one Celsius DP is also at one Celsius. Still we have big patches of snow lying about. Hope we get another fall tonight I think we here in the west Midlands done quite well out of this event. I hope we do get one last event before this month is out. It would be rather disappointing not to get something after this SSW
  14. Thank you for all your post. I must say your posts have been excellent and I’ve gained a lot more knowledge had about 7 to 8 cm of lying snow by the looks of things we might get more tonight. I hope we do. I also hope you get your snow fixed soon
  15. Snowing here moderately the Met office app has my location for snow. Nearly all day until later on when the forecasting drizzle and heavy rain then from after midnight the forecast to snow again I would take a guess about 5 to 6 cm of lying snow here. hopefully I will be able to get some pictures.
  16. Considering last night‘s met text forecast keeping us dry just measured level snow. I would say I have here about three or 4 cm and it is still snowing. as for tomorrow’s rain I am not so sure I think it will come down to no cast situation. ️
  17. This reminds me a little bit of March 2013 snowed all day did not settle however overnight. The heavier snow came in and we did have no cover lasted just over a week 23rd March 2013. I know this may not be the case this time, because we don’t have the depth of cold, we had back then
  18. Snowing quite heavily here however, nothing is settling. I wonder if the yellow warning from the Met office for disruptive snow is going to come off it is lovely to see falling snow though. ️ let’s hope everyone in the west east, north and south Midlands get in on the act and enjoy
  19. The Met office have just updated the warnings for snow and we have yellow warning from today until Friday. I must say it was rather surprising. A pleasant surprise, if I may say, so, I hope it comes off.️
  20. It’s snowing lightly here in Handsworth BBC up and met up, forecasted drive for here until the afternoon all though the met up has me for few hours of heavy snow from this afternoon
  21. Just a quick message to the MODS are we not going to have a new thread?
  22. I defo think we are going to miss out on the snow this time round and looking at this text forecast from met it doesn't look good for us midlanders. West Midlands weather forecast Tuesday 7 Mar - Saturday 11 Mar Headline: Clear skies overnight, allowing for a widespread frost. This Evening and Tonight: Turning dry with clear skies developing this evening. Temperatures quickly fall away leading to a widespread frost. Cloud however will increase across the south towards dawn. Minimum temperature -4 °C. Wednesday: A frosty start with some early morning brightness in the north. Otherwise, a largely dry, cold, and cloudy day with the odd wintry flurry possible in the south. Maximum temperature 5 °C. Outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Bands of rain, sleet, and snow, accompanied by strong winds will move in during Thursday, before gradually clearing Friday. Turning less cold by Saturday, with rain arriving later. Updated: 16:00 (UTC) on Tue 7 Mar 2023. Their extended outlook doesn't look good ither even though we had an ssw i know it doesn't bring cold and snow to the UK all the time but the 2 ssw we had i would of thought it would give us 1 good snow event. This is their extend outlook al though they do mension low confident in the forecast. UK long range weather forecast Sunday 12 Mar - Tuesday 21 Mar On Sunday, cold conditions are likely for central and northern areas at first, with further snow showers in the far north. Cloud, with rain and snow is expected to move north-east from the southwest through the day. Strong winds are likely in the west and southwest, but light winds, at least initially, in the east and northeast. Temperatures will become milder from the southwest. For the rest of the period, milder conditions are likely in most parts of the country, although some potentially colder conditions clinging on in the far north, with isolated sleet and snow showers at times. Heavy rain and a risk of strong winds are possible in the west and south. Temperatures generally around average through the period, with the exception perhaps of the far north. Updated: 14:00 (UTC) on Tue 7 Mar 2023 Wednesday 22 Mar - Wednesday 5 Apr Confidence remains fairly low during this period, with a lot of uncertainty. Updated: 15:00 (UTC) on Tue 7 Mar 2023.
  23. Sorry but I am going to have to disagree. We don’t do very well for snow either.
  24. I see the net have updated yellow warning for West Midlands. However, here in Birmingham I don’t think we will see any falling or settling snow. this called spell becoming rather tedious. I am now looking forward to some spring warmth.
