Wind has really ramped up here now back garden looks like carnage.

I think we are ready, feel better knowing my mum has decided to stay home tomorrow also my son's college is shut and my youngest daughter who is at Exeter uni said they have all been asked to take extra care while moving around to stay away from the wooded areas of the campus. Eldest daughter has been told to work from home my other half has to go in to work incase of power cuts to make sure all the back up generators keep going. Like most have said very calm here at the moment just had some rain which seems to have stopped now. Stay safe everyone.

I cant believe how windy it is here tonight, I am really dreading Friday . Earlier today my sister got an e-mail from I think it was southern electric warning about storm on Friday be prepared , have candles or torches handy and make sure you have blankets ready to expect power outages also to keep an eye on elderly neighbours. She rang me and said is going to be bad ? All I could say at the time was keep eye on weather forecasts. I know I will be out in the garden tomorrow trying to seduce what ever I can .

Our back garden has been frosted over the past couple of days. The road looks like an ice rink seen a couple of peaple nearly go over today. The sun has been out and the birds have been happy if not a bit cold on their feet.

My daughter has just sent these pictures through for me. A little bit foggy down at Exeter University tonight.

Wind really picked up here can hear things blowing around the garden.

Just popped into north regionals thread sounds really nasty up there parts of Scotland taking quite a hammering.

Definitely looks like it's going to get nasty polar bear up there at the top of the country, just hope people use their common sense and stay in if they can .

Morning all hope everyone keeping well. Well I can't say I ever remember seeing all 3 colour warnings at same time by the met office, but then iam quite forgetful these days. Any how I'm just inside area for possible snow . might just set alarm clock and patiently wait.

After a lovely day this is the sunset tonight.

I noticed the temp drop we were at 19c it seem to suddenly drop to 15c .

Ended up only having 5 rumbles earlier then stopped. Just had another heavy down pour wind picked up , all gone quiet again.

After heavy burst of rain about 20 mins ago can now hear thunder approaching. Gone very dark with more heavy rain and wind has picked up.

I can't believe it's still going Me and my daughter were woken up at 3:25am by a proper rib shaker and its still going at 5:10 and the males of the house have slept through it all again.

Seeing alot more lightning now thunder is getting louder and longer too So glad it woke me up

I can hear a few distant rumbles doesn't seem to be getting any closer here only seen one flash.

Haven't slept properly for a week now! what's one more night going to matter at least this could be worth staying awake for fingers crossed.

Hi Mapantz, unfortunately we had a few technical issues a while back. so we are in the process of starting fresh. I do miss watching the tank full of life not much fun watching an empty one.

Hi smartie, must admit I have never liked it to hot . Now the tablets I'm on means I can't go out in the sun for too long if I do I have to be completely covered up, which in this heat isn't much fun .

Oh my!! Met office have issued an amber warning for extreme heat.

Just looked out window and noticed there is light snow falling . Completely surprised as I wasn't expecting anything.
