Morning, woke up too -2.3c this morning (06:30) it's icy out and a real peasouper outside now current temp is -1.4c. Looking forward to tomorrow's snow event. Fingers crossed more get in on the action. My garden looks like a scene out of a Disney film at the moment wildlife everywhere making the most of the food I have just put out.

Big wet flakes for the past 20 minutes. Temp is 2.1c

Good morning all, I'm just inside the warning area for Tuesday Wednesday. I'm really trying not to get excited as I know from past experiance it can all change at the last minute. Haven't even mentioned it to the kids. Starting to struggle now lol I don't care how much falls as long as I see it fall. Here's hopi g it changes so more get in on the action ❄❄❄

Well that was a case of snow to the left of me, snow to the right of me , stuck in the middle with nowt !! Temp now down to 3 c

Woke up to 1.3c this morning ( 6 ish) now temp has dropped to 0c (07:15) the moon looked beautiful with a pinkish colour to it . Hopefully get a glimpse of the blood moon tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas. Thought I would share this with you, I just overheard two of my kids talking about the weather they were discussing the head line the express has put out today the conversation went a bit like this . " I just read the Beast from the east is coming again" "Well we know that won't happen they say it every year" "I would rather have the Beast from the East than the Pest from the West" I couldn't help but chuckle .

Sat on the doorstep this afternoon listening to my cuckoo for half an hour before he got drowned out by the diggers in field behind the woods.Bought a smile to face the cuckoo not the wretched diggers.

After last night's snow a grand total of 13cm. Kids happy they get a snow day other half and eldest daughter has to go to work. Those who are driving in today stay safe.

Morning everyone , I just woke up to this to be honest was expecting much but wow what a surprise it actually looks prettier than last time.

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said this winter has been fantastic. Before this passed week I thought it was going to be another dull winter but it certainly went out with a bang. A big thank you to all posters that have kept me entertained through all of it. I hope all the newbie posters will stick with us in here and seen how crazy it gets from time to time. Roll on thunderstorms and the summer warmth now. I will leave you with a couple of pictures taken earlier. No cats were harmed in the making of the picture lol

Coming down faster than yesterday and bigger flakes too. Now the cat has thawed out after disappearing in the snow drift this morning she now wants to go out again , think she got the snow bug lol.
