  1. Hmm, well 'starting' might've been an overstatement. A few teeny tiny flakes every now and then, but ya gotta start somewhere!
  2. And so my Peak District envy begins..... Sigh
  3. Well, a little Christmas present of hope from Metcheck for Solihull.... Merry Christmas fellow Midlanders
  4. Blimey, it's a tad breezy out there... batten down the hatches peeps, I'll be back to take a role call later
  5. Yep, think that about sums up how I feel too, Gord. I can't believe it's only the end of November, it seems to have been dreary for ever.....
  6. Speak for yourself, I'm interested. If you aren't interested in someone's post just ignore it.
  7. Erm, so the snow radar is showing this for an hour's time...? Nothing forecast with MetO etc though!!
  8. So, much ado about nothing here (as I wasn't up at 5am when there was a little something apparently), but hey, it was an appetiser for the rest of the winter I suppose. I think I'm going to start a crowdfunder page to buy a guest house in the Peak District, and all of us who have to watch the guys from there post on here about how much snow is lashing down will have somewhere to head to so we can join in the fun!
  9. And stopped again. And according to the snow radar forecast it's going to stay to the west of the region.... Grump. Grump.
  10. Yes!!! Just opened the curtains to see the first few flakes starting..
  11. Woah! MetO showing TWO snowflakes for me for midnight! *takes a stiff brandy for shock*
  12. Did we? All I've noticed so far is rain... (Obviously looking out the wrong window!) Who on here is on Facebook I wonder? Maybe I should start a NW Midlands region FB page? They we needn't worry about going off topic if we want to? It does feel like a lovely group of friends here!
  13. Welcome Neil! There's quite a Solihull gang on here, maybe because a bit of interesting weather is the most excitement we get living in the industrial Midlands!
  14. Xcweather is my new favourite weather site.... 3.7 cm of snow for Solihull?!
  15. Yay!Let the lampost watching commence!
  16. Interesting .... It's the only site that's showing snow for me and I would've thought that lots used GFS? Hey ho, who knows, it'll no doubt be gone again by the morning!
  17. Good, glad to hear it. The midands thread wouldn't be the same without you 😉 It feels like old friends meeting up down the local as soon as the fires are lit each year to join in a communal looking out of the window together.Talking of old friends, anyone seen Bishop Brennan recently? He's normally round the fireplace too...? Well, for fellow Sillhillans, just to cheer you up here's xcweather's forecast (no idea which model they use!)
