Gosh, am surprised at the downbeat mood on here this morning. The MetO is showing heavy snow for me late this afternoon and also tomorrow morning, and whilst anything could happen in reality, I haven't seen that forecast here for several years. Surely we must be in for a reasonable chance of a covering?

Well, we live in hope Dancer, but those blummin charts are always offering rich pickings 7-10 days away! Always 'jam tomorrow' - grrr If I fancy an emotional roller coaster ride, I just pop along to skim the Model thread (can't understand the science, but I absolutely get the sentiments, lol)

We've had a few of the teeniest tiny flakes you could imagine blowing in the wind here this morning, but nothing proper. Nice to see someone south of the Peaks is managing to get some Barbmac!

So, just idly popped over to look at my Netweather forecast for the next few days, and it's showing a couple of bouts of heavy snow!! Anyone else got this showing for them? edit - down to 1 now, will be nothing by later. But it was fun for a moment!

Love these pics LoisE. In fact I loved the sheep one so much I saved it to my iPad to look at again later! (there's something very peaceful about pics of sheep in the snow ....) Whereabouts I the Peak District did you take these?

Well, I'm sorry my birthday presie didn't work out Andy - Happy Birthday for tomorrow anyway. (I didn't dream that you said it was your birthday tomorrow did I?) It's my daughter's birthday on 21st March, and I remember there being snow at that time on many occasions, so all is not lost yet, especially as there's this SSW going on at the moment which is, by all accounts, quite a powerful one. Im not throwing the towel in before Easter!
