  1. Remaining cold on Friday 8th February, but less windy than the previous few days. Still some wintry showers near the east coast, and some western parts perhaps cloudier with a little rain or hill snow. Brighter elsewhere after a frosty start. A similar set-up continues through Saturday and Sunday. During the following week some bands of cloud and rain will spread slowly eastwards across the UK, with some snow on hills, and possibly also temporarily to lower levels in the east. Turning less cold in the west. Later next week onwards into the following weekend some bright spells are expected, but also some unsettled weather at times, most likely to the north and west where any showers may turn wintry at times. Temperatures then close to or just below average.

    Or something similar.

Isnt this the Met office update?! :D

    Hardly your own forcast matey!

  2. i think Eastbourne area got lucky today as the back build is still over us and has been moderate to heavy snow all-day! around 10cm has fallen today! makes up for friday where we got 0.5cm!

Good to see your here buddy, just up the road from you in Polegate and yes, i agree, we were very lucky to be in that lil streamer of backbuilding precip, looks to be finally die-ing off now but what a stroke of luck for us, 9 hours pretty much solid snow!

  3. My OH just taken my boy in his sledge to Gloucester park why not me you may think, well it looks like I've either got shingles or slapped cheek syndrome sad.png have a bright red face very sore tight cheeks that are itchy as hell, maybe an allergic reaction I don't know but I can't risk going out till I know for definite and although the cold will probably ease the pain I am feeling I doubt very much it would help either - so a snow day and I'm stuck in sad.png boo hoo

Sorry i have to quote your sore tight cheeks, cant miss the chance..... :D

  4. Awwww, i dont want to sound sad but, back edge of the precipitation very close to Eastbourne coast now. A slight bit of amplification at the trailing edge of the band going on right now, after that it looks to be creeping up north/north east direction. So some more for you guys to the East and North to come for a good few hours yet. Mustnt grumble, had a few CM here this morning. Next watch for me is the system that could track along the south east coast tomorrow!
