How much is 10mm? if its not a foot I'm not interested
Its not just about the inches you know
Looking like 5 to 10 CM is likely at least in most of are area
-
OK, looking at tomorrow and I've pinched a few charts from the NW Extra NMM suite and look how it builds in a totally different way from yesterday, Those that missed out in the last days should surely see lots tomorrow?
Morning Robin dearest, nice chart bud but Grrrrr, please dont be marginal. (the snow, not you i like you being marginal!)
-
Hence why I am not jumping up and down Tom, that type of persistant gnats dandruff snow in the estuary is very different from a proper thames snow streamer. Will take what we can get I suppose and thanks for posting the charts but that would not even give any depths around here.
NMM Showed this as well with the very light pink colours on its predictive precip charts.
But others are seeing this as quite the event so will keep watching and hoping.
Temp really rising now as well.
0.4c in a SSE Wind
Very light temps down here near Eastbourne now Paul, dews now risen to zero and about +0.5c, very marginal light snow here now but very slight.
-
Oh Really
How can you be so sure of that ?? We dont even know what the angle of the wind will be yet
Because, he knows.............

So depressing
Makes me laugh that even the Met Office site has been saying HEAVY snow since 3pm
Ah well at least you can be light hearted about it and laugh eh?!
-
Hope so.
A little bit on the knife edge side though for my liking:
Agreed buddy, BUT even looking out to the south and over the Channel the Dps are still showing to be low (do you get dew points over the sea? lol) Hopefully it will be all good, but then when do we ever get the snow so easily? not often for us poor brits!
-
The Big Freeze is over in London ... Roll on SUMMER !!!!!
How many times have you got to tell us though?!
-
GFS rolling out again and still showing it snowing tomorrow morning here;
Velly strange? convective showers maybe? Doesnt look like it from the chart. I would love to know what thats from?!
-
Light snow still in Reigate... Getting very dark though!
That will be the sun starting to set Plum my old chum!
-
Had my eye on that one for a while it doesn't seem to be moving, perhaps if we threw a net out we might catch it?!
Everything crossed neighour! got my eyes glued to the radar and the other one on the rambling in here!
-
Its trying to start snowing again here - but very fragmented and sporadic so it it isn't amounting to anything. Eyes on 'The Clump' it is then
Gives me something to do on my day off I guess. Clump watching, mmmmm. :-D
-
I concur. The front has weakened for the past few hours now and clearly evident on the radar. Latest BBC forecast has also confirmed this. All eyes now on the track of the depression on Sunday in France.
No probs matey!
There is a chunk of heavier precip just leaving Brighton way now, isnt that quite near you?
-
Heavier on the coast!
You can see the lil heavyer clump just off the coast Coasty, but also another heavyer bit out down brighton way, hopefully that will make it here too, almost looks like that one is beefing up a bit too........
-
i can't see it weakening at the moment either. What are you guys talking about. Are you just guessing it will?
Sorry but been watching Net weathers paid radar all morning and it has clearly and obviously decayed quite substantially. It hasnt all disapeared so all hope is not lost for everyone who hasnt had any :-)
-
That doesn't sound great for us in Bexhill I was hoping to be dump on :-)
It really struggled once it got to our way Sara. The Radar (Net Weathers finest and a bargain!) does show its pretty much gone for us down our way. Maybe something will 'pop up' but i cant see it. But we still have the chance for more saturday night into Sunday, everything crossed!

Aaaah well, the front is decaying fairly rapidly now. Has pretty much cleared the south east coast. Was not quite as much as i was hoping for, ut i think it decayed a lot quicker than i hoped. There were some false echoes that popped up for a while which do make it look like it has intensified, but they have gone now. Still some more snow to come for those further North and East. Looks like that may be it for down this way for now. Next lot due? Sunday by the looks of things. Lets hope this is not too marginal, especially for me near the coast. :/

How come its all the ladies awake early this morning?! Anyway good morning, snow looks to be just about to hit here in Polegate according to the Radar, good luck everyone! :-)
Oh and im normaly up at 5ish for work every morning, day off today and still woke at 5!
-
ok, its going to snow loads, upgrades galore, lets ignore the facts, lets not be realistic yay
Am I doing it right?!
Sorry buddy but the system is now clearly pivoting (getting annoyed with that word already!) Anyway, try to stop with the 'down' attitude, most of your posts do seem a bit doom and gloom. Theres nothing wrong with being mistaken sometimes. Not saying you will of course but there is clearly still some hope! :-)
-
dont bother with met check they are useless .im forecast that on the 6 th may 2013 its going to be 17 c & sunny lol .although im sure you will do well where ever you are ,but stick to net weathers forecast me thinks !!!
You know what? thats probably a pretty good call for the weather around that date, i wonder how well that will varify?!
-
temp has fallen away a little in last half hour here - now down to +2.9c
Cloudy but still dry so far though seen reports of sleet and snow nearby so here's hoping.....
Hi buddy, can you also add your location to your signature? The locations have been removed from the main board to make it run easier! :-)
Jason

Hi , could anyone that has not yet put their location into their profiles? It helps us get a better picture of what is happening where, ideal for times like now when many of us are hoping for some winteryness. Thanks! :-)

Be interesting to know where that station is based and how accurate. Thank youuuu!
