    Probably just got more snow in the last 1.5hrs than all day yesterday! Quality of snow is clearly very important, lol! Just had M&S Snow - not just any snowflake..... So will there be any more to come here in NE Surrey??!!x

    Small flakes but lots of them and falling vertically so covering nicely here in Epsom!!!

    It's mad, we'e waited so long and even when everything looks pretty much perfect something crops up - this time was the frontal cloud! Unbelievable!!x

    Ah I hope you have fun! There were a lot more people there as we were leaving so potentially less snow due to people sledging/walking on it but I'm sure there'll still be enough!! If you have kids go to the Fort behind the cafe as better for sledging down, less steep!x

    Glad we made the effort to get up and get out up to Box Hill this morning! So worth the 15min drive as so much more snow and of course fun sledging times for the kids!!x

    Not too bad, a covering but not much on roads or pavements and can see it won' hang about for long! It looks like my snow shower was cut off in its prime, it did all the groundwork but then stopped before it really too effect! Might head to Box Hill!x

    I'm in Epsom - what's the best direction to drive in to find a nice slope for sledging?! North, South, East or West of me??!!x

    This is what I keep thinking - if only it was Dec/Jan!!! Ah well, at least most have seen a little something now.... Now just roll on Spring and Summer and I'll be back here come November searching for signs of the next SSW, lol!!x

    Sugar dusting here in Epsom - started to settle and accumulate very fast in the 10mins of heavier stuff but now back to the lighter stuff which doesn't do a lot. That blob over E.Anglea is growing into a monster - coming this way??!!x

    Wow having spent all winter either far from snow or literally miles or even YARDS from the warning zones, I seem to be slap bang in the middle of an Amber this time!!!! Sooo unexpected and as much as I was wanting Spring, I've gotta make the most of this as probably won't see it again for another 5yrs, lol!x

    Oi oi what's going on here then??!!! I said goodbye to the beast and looked forward for Spring and now everyone I see is saying SNOW!!! Well as much as I wanted the warmth of Spring, if the alternative is this grey/wet/chilly weather then I'll take the snow again to inject a bit of fun !!!! That is, until there is a sudden drastic change to very warm Spring weather..... in my perfect weather dream!!! In 2008 we had snow in early April and the following month was baking hot, I was heavily pregnant so remember it well, Lol!!xx

    Watching the Beast dripping away outside in Epsom.... Just wanted to come back on here and thank you all for such a fun week! And another big THANK YOU to all the knowledable people in here that put such effort in to keep us all updated on what's happening when the professional forecasts leave us confused or are already out of date, lol! I really appreciate your input and what you have taught me!! I feel a bit sad that it didn't quite deliver (imby) what I was hoping for out of this spell but glad to have seen more snow than all the last few winters put together and have had a little play, albeit desperate attempts to find just enough snow for a sledge, lol! Happy to know that, despite the delay, Spring is on it's way and some much needed warmth!! I will be around on here but will definitely return properly again next Winter and hope it starts from where the other one left off!!

    Looks like a little loss of some snow overnight here in Epsom?! Looks like it's melted a little or maybe it got blown away/dried by the wind?! Most schools closed due to "being under am Amber warning" despite the fact we now no longer seem to be, lol! Meto website shows light snow here and there today and the Meto App says light snow all day here!!! I'm not expecting much more to be honest but we'll see! Looking forward to Spring now!x

    Snowing in Epsom but very similar to last night where it blows sideways and doesn't really accumulate - we had hours of snow last night that didn't give half the amount "straight down" snow would, lol! But not complaining, glad to have had at least something out of this rollercoaster beast!x
