    Amazing on Netweather extra how the wind vectors are literally opposite each other at different altitudes.

    Ive just seen a snowflake, so small it was only visible under a floodlight with an electron microscope, but it was definitely a snowflake LOL

    Few flakes blowing in the ferocious wind here. Clouds seem to be coming from more of an easterly direction than earlier, which is the perfect direction for NW London so hoping for some proper action later!

    That line cuts my house in half LOL If I were a betting man (Which I am lol) I would bet heavily on the low being a fair bit further south than showing on some models this evening, and wouldnt put it past being a decent snow event all the way down to the south coast. Still think the models are a tad overzealous with that low.

    Dont forget the actual weather hasnt been decided yet. If you had 10 identical Earths right now, by day 2 the weather would be different on all of them, and by day 5 significantly different. The models predict the likely probability of what will occur, getting less accurate the longer the prediction. Lets hope nature throws the dice towards cold next week!!

    Still snowing a bit here, must have 10 cm laying now. Everything looks absolutely beautiful outside.

    Even Phil Taylor would struggle to hit a given segment in that dartboard!! It looks like FI is a max of 96h, and a return to mild is not but any means guaranteed looking across all the models this evening. Wouldnt bet against cold hanging on, or even re invigorating over the next week.

    Scraped in an ice day for the first time in yonks. Max was 0.0C Min -3.1C. Snowing again to boot!!

    Can now confirm all grass has been covered, thats the definition of a proper snowfall. But the best thing is this covering could last anywhere from 2 to 7 days+ rather than 24 hours!!!

    Snowing much harder here now, and due to the cr@phole I live in our close had big security floodlights installed this summer outside, and the snow looks amazing in the near sunlight conditions!!

    The Jetstream is still on its southern holiday for a while yet, and according to the ECM its wanting to book another week in s france.

    We did well out of the ENE streamers, but the rare ESE streamer is a jackpot here if the wind is strong enough to get it to NW london.

    Well what a fantastic day today, lovely walk in deep snow with the missus, snowball fights, nearly getting the car stuck in the carpark, and a lovely ruby delivered washed down with a few bevvies!! This is once in every 10 years day to me as a snow lover!!
