Having now got out of my pit the sleet has turned to snow. Cars already have a covering but roads just look way too wet. It's swirling around out there in the wind. Off to work in half an hour though!

Only excitement here in a damp and sleety Pontyberem is that we've had two power cuts.. Enjoy folks.

Just woken up for work. Huge disappointment here.. Looks like ill be going to work then!

Latest models seem to look good and hopefully any snow won't turn to rain for me.. That's my biggest worry at the moment! Anyway, last post from me as I have work (maybe) at 6am. I have to set off for work at 5:30am so I'll be up around 4:30-4:45 to check if there will be a chance of me going in!

MetOffice says sleet for me at 3am but heavy snow 6am-9am then light snow for the rest of the day and evening. Can't see that happening but I'd take it! Last updated at 8pm. Also, for anybody else does it have the red warning sign for them when they go and check their forecast? It does for me, but I am in the amber weather warning on the actual map.

Thanks pal! Yeah, these roads could be horrible.. Just hope people use their heads and don't make it dangerous. Fine line between it being fun and it being dangerous! I live right at the top of the hill too so who knows if I'll even make it into work! Ah, hopefully no rain! That'd be a disappointing end but I'll enjoy the snow falling while I can! Enjoy, all!

I am between Llanelli and Carmarthen and consider myself too far West to see any decent amount of snowfall (sadly) but I went to Asda in Llanelli earlier and the place was packed! It's never dead, but for a Thursday is was very busy! Surprised to see where I live under the amber warning too, I think they're just covering themselves to be honest.. Hope I am wrong, would love a lot of snow! Even if I do have to drive to work at 5:30 tomorrow morning..

Derek's latest forecast didn't look great for me! Oh well, definitely a case of 'nowcasting'! His forecast had me under rain the for majority of the time, but on the border of the yellow weather warning. I'm hoping he's wrong and that snow will fall a little more to the West!

Rain/Snow for me.. Which probably means sleet then! Is it just me or are some models saying one thing and some are saying another? Don't think anybody quite knows if it'll be all of Wales having snow or not!

Hopefully this improves my chances too then, good news.. Still, to be fair all we can do at this stage is wait as I am sure there's more twists and turns yet! This is the part of the snow I hate! The uncertainty! We all just want some snow

Ah, I'm gutted. Living between Llanelli and Carmarthen and it's as if we're on the border of the snow/sleet... So even if it starts as snow it'll probably turn to sleet/rain not long after! Gutted!

I'm no expert but when it comes to snow I wouldn't take anything as confirmation until you actually see it falling outside! A very tricky weather to forecast!

Great developments by the sounds of things! I still worry that I will see rain or sleet! Hopefully it'll be snow. Any idea what time snow is set to begin (if we get the snow that is!) Also, how icy was it today? I am between Llanelli and Carmarthen and this morning going to work at 6am it was really bad, I know of two people who crashed between 6-8am because of it, also my dad lost control of his car too! Thankfully everybody is okay but it was really bad out there!

This is true, however I can't see it being cold enough tonight Maybe Friday! Certainly looks exciting but as already discussed, it'll probably be downgraded at some stage!

Hi all hope you enjoyed some snow last night! We had some sleet here last night as I expected. This morning started very foggy indeed at 6am. It cleared by 9am, by 10-11am the sun had come out and it turned into quite a nice day. Clouds have since come over and it has become colder. Hoping for a little bit of snow sometime this week.. Maybe a couple of showers tonight although nothing will stick due to how wet the floor is due to some sleet and a little bit of hail we had in the last hour and a half. End of the week looks promising, although where I am it could easily be sleet instead of snow!

Hi, obviously no snow in my part of the world this evening, sleet at best maybe! Just wondering what may be in store towards the end of the week? Overheard a customer at work say we may be in for some snow 'later on in the week'? Always a worry as I have work at 6am and these countryside roads are always left untreated!

Possibly snow in the far East of Wales in my opinion, rain for the rest of us..

Don't think anybody expected things to go as they have. As far as I am concerned, South West Wales has to be out of the running but it'll be interesting to see where there's accumulations of snow that wasn't predicted to get it!

Warm day (compared to the rest of the week!) I just hope it is relatively quiet for next weekend as I am travelling up to Birmingham!

It didn't say rain for us all today.. Forecasts yesterday said there was a possibility that snow could start in East Wales and turn back to rain.. Todays forecast was even more encouraging for East Wales, saying exactly what has happened really. No real surprises.. Unless you didn't see the forecast of course! That's why I kept saying it would turn to rain when people were getting excited by a few hours of snow, the forecast was spot on. Wish it had been different for you though!

I used to live in Birmingham, seeing quite a few pictures on Facebook.. Jealous! They have had loads since around 1pm, still snowing and still heavy there!

They've gone quiet so I am guessing it's raining now!
