  1. Had a lovely walk this morning in the fog. Would have preferred a bit of ice as well rather than slight miserable drizzle but still!
  2. Hope everyone's had a good weekend, glad the weather hasn't been too bad. Pretty much just grey, a bit cold but at least mostly dry!
  3. Hi guys. Checked my wildlife camera down at the secluded part of the garden tonight to be pleasantly surprised by this Apologies for the quality, I have zoomed in and screenshot!
  4. Decided to move the camera to the very bottom of the garden in the more secluded bit to have a better view of my favourite visitors :)
  5. Another day where heavy thundery showers were involved. It had turned into a nice day up until about 4pm and then it got dark, the winds picked up and then the thunder, lightening and heavy rains followed for about an hour and a half. Yesterday evening produced some of the heaviest and stormiest weather I'd ever witnessed here and I wasn't surprised that getting into work today I found that it had flooded overnight as many parts of the area did for a brief time. Lets hope tomorrow morning doesn't quite bring that.
  6. WOW! What a storm we have had here! Never seen anything like it. We had heavy rain, strong winds and hail for a time. The worst had gone and it died down but the thunder and lightening stayed. Heavy and persistent rain now which is beginning to flood the street. Unbelievable!
  7. Had a short but sharp stormy spell last night in Walsall a long with some very heavy rain, again for a short spell. Love a good storm and so although it didn’t last too long it was great to see! Apologies for the quality, I recorded it on my phone and just screenshot the fork!
  8. Thanks! It was a huge shock to have the squirrel up this close, it's normally just running in and out of mine and the neighbours garden! Not for long with all this rain! ?
  9. I think someone has discovered the camera!
  10. Light rain for most of the day. After feeling like the height of summer for a week or so it now feels like a grey October day. Much needed, but lets hope it isn't around for too long!
  11. Just been for an evening walk along the canal. Lovely evening, just the right temperature for a stroll. We have been so lucky with this weather. Every single walk has been really enjoyable.
  12. A lake I like to take a walk around on a weekend morning and evening.
  13. When I lived in Wales we had one unbelievable storm, I can't remember the year but it would have been around 2013 I would have thought. Here's the view from the old house... it was breath-taking seeing the sky light up all across the hills.
  14. Lovely morning in Walsall. Went out for a walk at 7am down to the lake and then across to the canal. Just started to get warmer as I was on my way back. Have a good day everyone, don't burn
  15. Huge amounts of rain pretty much all over our region. Loads of flooded roads and areas in Walsall. The Arboretum is flooded, the River Tame is ‘about to burst its banks’ at Bescot according to @WMRoads on Twitter. The road there is also closed. My garden is also flooded at the back, only the second time I’ve seen that happen.
  16. Gonna be hammered by rain shortly. What a horrid day. Made worse by standing in a football stand with the wind and rain belting at me!
  17. Hi all. Just wandering onto this section in the hope that there is someone in/near Newport. Hoping to head down tomorrow for some football but I know they play on a rugby pitch and so it doesn’t take much for the games to be off! How is it there? As long as you aren’t getting a deluge of rain I think it’ll be okay! Thanks!
  18. I’m also in Pelsall and can hear it, sounds like the winds have picked right up again too!
  19. Some crazy gusts today. Only damage for me was a small but heavy metal table in the garden being pushed into one of the neighbours fence panels which has totally broken it... great!
  20. Winds have picked up in Walsall over the last hour or two. Think my already weak fence might take a battering! Seeing that amber warning (although I’m sure it’s precautionary and won’t affect all of us?) all over the UK is a crazy sight. Stay safe all.
  21. Hoping for a much drier day tomorrow so I can go out and enjoy the fresh air before going back to work on Monday!
  22. A few sharp heavy showers here this afternoon. Went for a walk this morning and you have to try and dodge all the showers, really frustrating! What an awful June so far!
  23. Rains quite heavy here now, has been for a good hour or so. Think it might be this for much of the night now!
  24. Walsall Golf Club had received 30mm of rain today by 8.30pm. 76mm for the month. Ridiculous!
