    Up by Kingussie. Felt notably cooler (more normal) the past couple of days and black ice on the school run this morning. I thought it was Thursday that was supposed to be blowy but I see MetO are going with warning for warnings from tomorrow to saturday? With snow symbols for the west? Interesting few days then.

    ooh first to dirty Lorenzo's lovely new thread Just to add my folks had snow today - came to nothing but certainly must have been a few degrees colder up the road than here in Perth today.

    It has been horridly dark here all day! And a lot of rain! The only positive from today is it hasn't been cold, but so horrible you wouldn't want to be outside anyways!

    Morning all. Looking all white and pretty outside here - only a dusting though on roads and pavements. Also, discovered last night that we actually lost a bunch of tiles in yesterdays hoolie (did we name it?).

    It's sunny but now light snow here - always odd when its sun with light snow falling from who knows where! (oh and first snow here I've seen this season!)

    aww that doesnt sound good! Lucky the horse was safe! Dear BMW, Thanks for taking the time to post me a card! Weather is here too, but Im not lovely - more windswept. Glad to hear things are on the up! I'm afraid until rail network is back the cat and plants may have to dehydrate. Love OTR P.S Say cheers to Auntie Effie for the jumper - how did she know I'd always wanted one with a picture of Ian McCaskill sewn on?!

    So is that the worst passing now then? Or will the winds go on a while? Is the weather supposed to be dry but cold then later today? (answers on a postcard...)

    OH commuted to Stirling and said there were trees down on the A9 northbound, but relatively ok getting there on the southbound. Got the girls to school (a medal should be on its way in the post for me!). And Im feeling very lucky as the large maple tree at the bottom of our garden (other side though) has split clean in half and luckily fell safely the other way.

    Its err windy shall we say? Trampoline was so say secured but just smashed into the kitchen window - didn't break the window but im worried about the state of the window ledge but im not for checking right now! Lights flickering here too. Supposed to walk the girls to school in 30 mins and I really dont want to. :-(

    Early to bed for me last night so didn't realise this had happened until this morning. What are the chances of something like that ever happening - let alone on a friday night when the pub was packed. I still don't think they've confirmed anything yet? And people still trapped? How awful. Thoughts and prayers go out to those effected. About 5C here and just cloudy. So is the colder spell towards the end of next week still on?

    I'm wondering if this could be the first ice day? Still below freezing here. I'm a bit miffed because I want to go out and I was hoping the sun would melt the ice off the car to save me doing it!!

    lol Catch from what I can gather GFS has come on board and the 6Z is good, but the ECM ironically isn't quite as good this morning looking more cold and dry. How professional was that explanation? See, now I've cleared it all up for you all!

    Going to have a look on the 'unstable' model thread in a min and see what this mornings crack is! Was quite windy here yesterday evening but now calm, blue sky and sunshine at 6C. P.S I've followed Lorenzo, Edo and thanks to BUS's quote Matt Hugo! Don't follow any weather people - so now that should help keep me up to date! You don't need to follow me back because I generally chat rubbish

    Ha I'm on twitter Edo but I don't EVER post charts lol! What's Lorenzo's twitter? BMW I second "Sunshine..." went to see it opening week with the girlfriends - we were all singing along at the end! XC only shows one flake for here on tuesday during the day at the moment - still not really expecting anything here to be honest at this stage.

    Where's the sun gone? It's turned almost black out, tipping it down, and a whistley wind has popped up from nowhere (currently 8C).

    Frosty again here this morning, except with it having rained yesterday it was a flaming ice rink.

    Morning all -4C here, sunny and frosty. Brrrr Have some sleety symbol action on my app, but we shall see later. I think my folks in Kingussie will have a good chance of seeing something white today.
