  1. Thats what I have seen too, very cold yes, but also very grey with only the chance of a few light snow showers near the east coast on Monday.
  2. Ah its so beautiful at the moment in Alloa. looking over to the Ochills with little bits of sow clinging on for dear life. Sky is blue, sun is lovely on my face, very spring like. Watch some bloody shortwave come and spoil it
  3. I cannot understand the worry about what is going to happen 10-15days time when past 72 hours is really FI Nothing for that time is likely to varify, am I wrong? please feel free to correct me if this is the case.
  4. Indeed! the MT seem to think that Scotland will start cold and dry and then gradually pull in an easterly and then a northerly with snow potential.!
  5. Still snowing here in Alloa, a little wetter flakes though and it does seem a little more marginal now. a good 2inches and still crisp underfoot
  6. Got a great view from oot my window in Kilncraigs, what happened to the road gritting this morning, seems all the gritters are on thir hols. Temp seems to be holding well, just some signs of the wind wpicking up now.
  7. Started snowing in Lochgelly about 5:45am this morning, went to work in Alloa and its very heavy with about an inch now 0.5c at the moment. Lovely stuff!
  8. Thanks Steve, I am very much a 'watcher and learner' at the moment and find your summary of the models very useful!
  9. The phrase 'In the freezer' would be apt for this. Not pinning all my hopes on this exact outcome but the trend for astronger block is good to see. maybe a more fitting end to winter than was projected yesterday in the padded cell which is the model thread!
  10. I'm afraid the old techniques come into play in situations like this, namely, 'Stick your head out the window and see what its doing'!
  11. They are! I for one will just stick my head ooot the window and see what its doing
  12. The usual mahem in the MT this morning. Its a grand crisp day in Alloa this morning up to 2c already, should think we will be up near 3-4c by 3pm today. Really looking forward to the weekend and beyond, will we get snow, wont we, easterly or not? Its all good stuff and its all weather!
  13. Wouldnt want to be walking over one man walk at Slieve League at the moment, always remember my aunts house up in the hills near Carrick being covered in snow in the winter!
  14. Very sleety at times this morning, turning brighter now. Looking forward to a building high pressure towards the weekend, maybe thats the start of a cold reload?
  15. Was thinking back to earlier in the day when the snow was at its heaviest. You could feel the cold of the east wind and just for a while it seemed like it was back in 2010 and I thought that the block might fight back, but alas no
  16. Well it is Burns night so your entitled to a few malts anyway. Thanks for the advice!
  17. Can I ask how you post pics on here? cant seem to work it out
  18. Its all very still in Lochgelly at the moment as if its the end of something, waiting for the start of something new!
  19. One bad thing this breakdown snaw was that my skybox stopped working, the snaw blocked the signal
  20. Lochgelly and Ballingary at a total standstill today with the heaviest snow I have seen, my garden looks like a all its missing is a ski lift!
  21. Snow had just started in Lochgelly at about 6:30am then by the time I got to work in Alloa it was full on and heavy, everywhere has a good white covering. Best its been over the whole of this cold period!
