  1. The wind is just so bad here, people hanging off lamp posts in fear of being blown away. Trees down / walls crushed a cars. It really is something else. Haha... As I said I'll be posting today. So where is this storm with the damaging winds? I have 40mph gusts here. Hardly anything dramatic. One of your posts yesterday said a monster was coming. So where is he?
  2. Park my car near a wall? Are you serious? Do you really think 60mph gusts will blow bricks down. Come on... I've had and witnessed 60/70mph gusts here in the past and I can tell you that no walls were blown down. Maybe the odd tree in Epping forest... I have to say I do find everyone's enthusiasm and dramatics regarding this low pressure quite amusing at least. Good entertainment. So I shall post again Friday evening and let you all know how I got on with the damaging horrendous winds. I'll be sure to warn my neighbours to prepare for the worst.... Haha😄
  3. Awww... Don't hate just because I'm not a wet and windy lover
  4. Me too. Can't wait. Although this terrible storm on Friday might rip the Tarmac of the runway and I won't be going anywhere. Haha.. Thanks Surrey. Judging by your analysis I'll need more than beans during this frightful storm on Friday. I'm thinking of not going outside and everything I'm that scared
  5. Haha... I'll be on here Friday saying I told you so alright. Don't worry I'll be sure to take a pic of my house without its roof off on friday and post it to the forum. Off to sainsburys now to stock up on my beans before this horrendous storm hits Essex.
  6. Your welcome. Just expressing my thoughts in this forum.
  7. Similar warnings to what we have in winter. Weird to see it for June I must say. Anyway I can't see anything happening here apart from a twig falling off a tree. 50mph gusts in NE London Essex where I am will not cause damage, I can pretty much put money on that. English channel coasts could see the odd tree blown down - lots of street litter everywhere and branches and twigs on the road where gusts could reach 70mph. If come Friday I'm standing outside my house with tiles off my roof and trees in the road then I'll admit I'm wrong but quite frankly that's never going to happen.
  8. Weather Boffs over on twitter say coasts will see strongest winds. Maybe London areas seeing upto 50mph gusts. Quite potent for June but nothing dramatic - well for my area Essex anyway
  9. Apparently so. But it's the highest gusts in exposed areas only. All TV weather are just mentioning a windy day Friday so until they tell me I need to board my windows I think I'm going to be ok. Lol The odd branch or twig falling, wheelie bin blown over is hardly a big deal for me
  10. 50/60mph gusts on Friday with heavy rain. Big deal. Normal British weather! Although absolutely diabolical for June but there we go. Cyprus next week for me thank god, hopefully will be summer here when I return.
  11. Of course it's not going to be bad. Windy and wet - just a normal British day in winter, except it's June.
  12. I can put a lot of money on that not happening. Never say never but I'm pretty confident that would not happen. I'm off to Cyprus unexpected next week for two weeks - so it can pi** down all it likes here for all I care. God how depressing is it to be in this country weatherise at the moment, more wet, windy and cool weather this week - thank goodness for Her majesty's jubilee. I'm going to be basking in hot weather sipping cocktails this time next week while some of you storm fans are going to be sitting in cool wet miserable weather looking for one flash of lightning... Haha.. Good luck with that!
  13. I was asleep so that doesn't count for me.. Haha.. I have to see it for it to count. Also two hours of heavy rain is a big difference to 10 hours of heavy rain which was forecast
  14. Makes you laugh doesn't it. The graphics were miles out. I do think we will see that rain pull back down but when and who will get heavy stuff is anyone's guess
  15. Yeah it does seem SE/south London had more rain than the north last night. Here in NE London it stopped raining around 1am
  16. So where is all this heavy rain in London this morning?? Haha... Love it. No rain and once again heavy rain predicted for my town which never happened. This has happened quite a lot over the past month. Anyway a chance to enjoy party's today without being a wash out. Even tomorrow looking a damn sight better then originally thought.
  17. Me and you would probably do a better job at forecasting the weather than Essex weather.
  18. Rain hasn't been that heavy in loughton Essex, well nothing unsual anyway, just your joe average rain!!! looking at radar the rain ushing northward really quickly. At this rate we will be dry by 2am... Haha love it... I absolutely love it when we are predicted a period of heavy rain over many hours and it never happens. Less rain the better
  19. What's the problem - I'm all for cock ups if it means no rain... Lol
  20. Good - I'm over the moon it's less intense. The quicker it buggers off the better. Also I see all TV forecasts are giving southern England a dry afternoon for tomorrow. Quite a difference from this mornings forecast.
  21. I here that London could have a dry afternoon tomorrow. With the rain easing and pushing further north.
  22. What a miserable morning, damp with drizzle falling and it feels rather cool. Anyway off to Hampstead and Primrose hill for celebrations today with family. Certainly not going to let the horrid weather ruin plans. Have a great weekend everyone.
  23. Feels pretty pleasant this morning. Temps around 20c this afternoon with sunny spells so shouldn't feel to bad all
  24. Absolutely, some of the members are outstanding in their work and give detailed explanations on their predictions, but it's these members that give post upon post of " rain for the next 30 days" "summer write off" "unsettled for the next 3/4 weeks" "cold" Anyway only Great britains weather can spoil the nations most celebrated party. Such a shame for everyone involved, just have to make the best of it.
  25. Yes, we haven't even started June yet and some members seem to think they hold the knowledge and predictions to inform us that the whole of June will be unsettled... Come on.. I mean really. It's funny, the same members only 3 days before the settled spell were saying that the rest of May will be a wash out with floods. I'm sure some of those ridiculous prediction posts are just written for entertainment purposes, I really do.
