  1. Isolated thundery downpours are forecast. If widespread severe thunderstorms were forecast then I would not keep my hopes up for sunshine. But it's 50/50 at the moment and all I'm hoping for is for my 50 to win out (dry) It's the charts, Internet, TV saying "isolated thundery showers" - not me
  2. I hoping to see blue sky's and hot sunshine continue. Apparently that's weird too
  3. I just heard on the local radio that in any heavier storms, large hail could form which could cause problems. Now that is interesting... Lol They did say you will be unlucky to catch one but I do hope that chigwell get stuck under a torrential storm as I know this weather you love ;-)
  4. There's nothing wrong with coming onto a forum if you like blue sky and heat. There are no rules. Everyone likes different kinds of weather, I like heat and snow. I do not like wet and grey... Just because some don't get excited over the posibility of an isolated thunderstorm and prefer to keep the blue sky does not make them and less interesting than you.
  5. Looking forward to another very warm day. Blue skies once again - lovely!!! Those thundery downpours for later can go do one as far as I'm concerned, why do I want an hour of heavy rain with one rumble of thunder - no thanks!!!!! Just as much chance today of staying dry as getting wet so I know which one I prefer. Edit... Local TV weather this morning going for a mostly dry afternoon with only an outside chance of a thundery shower.. Happy days!!
  6. There is but as the TV weather forecast keep saying : very unlucky to catch one. So very localised. More hot sunshine to come tomorrow. Hopefully stay dry as last time met office forecast storms for my area - SW Essex! It stayed dry.
  7. Not really, was 29c in primrose hill London earlier
  8. Still lots of uncertainties for jubilee weekend. Could be hot with temps in high twenties or could be cooler with sunny / cloudy spells but even then temps still hitting 20c for our region. At least no wash out or storms forecast, well apart from tomorrow but even then a very hit and miss affair and even if you do catch one will probably only be one clap of thunder... Lol - still im sure that's enough to satisfy storm fans. Rest of week gradually cooling down but with no heavy rain so I'm happy!
  9. Just off night shift. Time for 5 hours shut eye then off to Hyde park with friends for for a picnic and lots of wine ;-) Hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather yesterday - today seems will be déjà vu then tomorrow temps back up to 26/27c so even warmer. Have a good weekend everyone :-)
  10. Just lit the charcoal. So happy those showers never happened. Was a very low risk anyway. Blue sky evening - cannot get any better!
  11. I'm in my mums garden in st Albans - Hemel Hempstead next door and we have blue skies.
  12. Clear blue skies across our region no cloud build up yet. So I hope it stays that way as I have friends over for a BBQ and its my night off work, I do not want it spoilt by rain! All in my favour though, even if showers do crop up you will be very unlucky to catch one. ECM and 06z both showing more warm weather to come next week
  13. What a well written post. I completely agree, I remember only 7 days ago (roughly) having to read posts quote- that this summer would be a write off and do not expect any warm up, with unsettled weather into June. Yes they certainly do need to eat that pie! I remember saying that the model output will change ( it always does) for good or bad, in this case it was for good and this mini heat wave appeared like a rabbit in headlights. It really was laughable reading posts only 10 days ago with all that negativity. Models currently showing another possible warm up again.... Yes please ;-)
  14. Hi guys, I shall be getting the train to Chester tomorrow from London euston to collect my new car. It's roasting here currently in west London. 26c maybe upto 28c later I here Chester could be hotter than London tomorrow which is a rarity thanks to an easterly wind. I Look forward to visiting the North west. Never been north of Milton Keynes before... Lol
  15. Just reached 25.5c in north west London. May get to 28c but I doubt 29c - well here anyway!
  16. Blooming baking up already out there. Feels a lot hotter than yesterday at this time! Looking forward to a hot day today. BBQ later. Also a cracking weekend coming up, clear blue skies and I see BBC are increasing temps for Sunday in the SE to 26c
  17. Well the latest forecast from carol on bbc breakfast has no mention of storms what so ever today. Infact the SE see the sunniest weather with a couple blue blobs on the graphics for west midlands. I hope this is the case as I don't want this lovely weather spoilt by a pathetic attempt at a thunderstorm. 29c expected in London today confirmed by BBC with temps a sticky 17-19c tonight.
  18. Haha yeah I know the ones. Thats what I call em too ;-)
  19. Not sure it was ever 65% chance of storms. It was always a very low risk. Incidentally the west midlands and east Wales storm risk has actually increased for tomorrow.
  20. Just completely loving this weather. Shorts and t shirt in the garden sipping a beer while the charcoal burns :-) Just seen the BBC London weather forecast and it's sunny skies right through to Sunday. Yes it will be cooler but as Peter pointed out, the easterly breeze will blow pollution/pollen and haze away. Shower risk also gone for tomorrow which is excellent even though was a 10% chance anyway. Temps as high as 29c in west London tomorrow...
  21. Any storm chance is incredibly low, so I'm not even worrying about get rained on. I'm just going to enjoy the sunny and warm weather as it certainly hasn't happened often this year, where as I had to endure days of rain and some thundery weather. I do find it funny though how one day of warm weather and everyone starts complaining how hot it is. With temps mostly at 25/26c across southern areas yesterday I would hardly call that hot. It's pleasantly warm. Looking forward to this weekend, although easterly winds should be crystal blue clear skies and for the complainers out there, 23c will feel cooler.
  22. Solent highest temp of 27c today. Tomorrow will be 27c and Thursday 28c somewhere in the SE according to BBC evening TV forecast Even this weekend - clear blue skies with temps at 22/23c Just can't beat it.... Love this weather. And no rain or storm in sight.... Lurrrvley
